For this week alone, Pryor >>>>>>> Locker. If you are looking for a tie-breaker, Locker has a much better fantasy play-off schedule.Torn between Pryor and Locker for this week, and with an eye towards backing up Kaepernick going forward (who has been erratic). Could imagine a matchup play somewhere down the road for one of them.
Agreed. I went ahead and picked him up along with Wright last night. We only get 15 add/drops and I was at 11. I passed on Starks as a quick fix this week for Brown's more long term outlook. The Giants seem to be turning the corner & still have life in a very bad NFC East.Andre Brown scored a TD in each of his final 5 games played last year. I find it hard to imagine he wont be getting the same goal-line looks.
Nope, For ROS Pryor is still better. For this week alone, Pryor >>>>>>> Locker. If you are looking for a tie-breaker, Locker has a much better fantasy play-off schedule.Torn between Pryor and Locker for this week, and with an eye towards backing up Kaepernick going forward (who has been erratic). I'm in a similar boat and picked up Brown last week.Agreed. I went ahead and picked him up along with Wright last night. We only get 15 add/drops and I was at 11. I really think can Brown can step in and be a top 20 back thru the last 7 weeks. I went WR top heavy leaving me quite thin at RB. I have the Megatron (#1WR), Dez (#2), and Gordon (#15) as my WRs. A playee like Brown could put me over the top down the home stretch. There are no playoffs in my league so its a race for wins thru week 17.
Yes sir. That is the way to do it. Get in on these guys on the basement floor instead of when all the guppies hop in on the ground floorI'm in a similar boat and picked up Brown last week.Agreed. Outside of Demarco Murray I have no RB's and extremely WR heavy. Brandon Marshall, Demaryius Thomas, Josh Gordon .... If i can add a healthy Brown and Demarco to that...along with Luck and Matt Ryan as a flex I'm solid.
For all of our sake lets just hope Brown can stay healthy and put together a run. Inb4 hype train
I'd be shocked. He better keep running for 100 yds a game then...Nope, For ROS Pryor is still better. For this week alone, Pryor >>>>>>> Locker. If you are looking for a tie-breaker, Locker has a much better fantasy play-off schedule.Torn between Pryor and Locker for this week, and with an eye towards backing up Kaepernick going forward (who has been erratic). Much ado about nothing. Indy is determined to run, run, run, when not facing explosive offenses like Den. TY with superior talent to Brazil disappeared on a weekly basis as the #3, why would anyone think Brazil would fare any better? This is the guy I'm keeping a close eye on. For some reason, he strikes me as someone who can just blow up if given an opportunity.LaVon Brazill (IND - preemptive)
I wasn't precluding that. I was saying if it's a Bye week deal alone then there is no comparison. I actually like both a lot ROS.Nope, For ROS Pryor is still better. For this week alone, Pryor >>>>>>> Locker. If you are looking for a tie-breaker, Locker has a much better fantasy play-off schedule.Torn between Pryor and Locker for this week, and with an eye towards backing up Kaepernick going forward (who has been erratic). Well he makes the all-name team, that's for sure.Griff Whalen is the pickup at WR if you're trying to hit at WR in the Indy pass game.
Sounds like hes played great in preseason.. he is consistent, and has a good report with Luck. Maybe there is something here..Well he makes the all-name team, that's for sure.Griff Whalen is the pickup at WR if you're trying to hit at WR in the Indy pass game.
That POS got me ZERO in a game that ended up tied when I picked him up for week 8.Someone may drop Reuben Randle. Pick him up.
You never know. Manningham had superior talent to Cruz, right? And In 2011, he was pretty average (before getting hurt) and then Cruz came in and blew up. Not to mention ,just like people did with Manningham back then, they were calling T.Y. the next big thing.Much ado about nothing. New York Giants Signed Victor Cruz as Free Agent After He Went Undrafted
The New York Giants signed Victor Cruz out of UMass as a free agent in 2010, after he went undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft. At UMass, Cruz, who is 6' and 200 lbs, caught 131 passes for 1,958 yards and 11 TD's, with a 15.0 yards per catch average. Victor Cruz ran a 4.47 time in the 40 yard dash at a UMass pro day prior to the 2010 NFL Draft.
LaVon Brazill is Similar Type WR Who Played College Football at Ohio
LaVon Brazill, who is 5' 11" and 191 lbs, played college football for the Ohio Bobcats. In his senior year, Brazill caught 72 passes for 1,150 yards and 11 TD's, with a 16.0 yards per catch average.
I'm a Rutgers college football fan, and I watched LaVon Brazill play against us in 2011. In the game, Brazill had four catches for 74 yards and a TD.
He looked pretty good to me, and then I watched him play a few more times this season, including in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. LaVon Brazill was the MVP of that bowl game, after he caught eight passes for 108 yards and a TD, as Ohio defeated the Utah State Aggies, 24-23.
At the 2012 NFL combine, LaVon Brazill ran the 40 in 4.48 seconds. He's being projected as a possible seventh round draft pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, but there's a pretty good chance he will go undrafted like Victor Cruz did.
LaVon Brazill Could Be Another Victor Cruz Type WR in the NFL
Given all the similarities between Victor Cruz and LaVon Brazill, they both played for smaller conference teams in college, similar height and weight, similar college stats, and similar speed, can LaVon Brazill end up being a Victor Cruz type WR for a NFL team.? I think he can.
I'm not necessarily saying the guy is a home run threat.nb009 said:You never know. Manningham had superior talent to Cruz, right? Brazill is more likely to bust than he is to become Cruz, but I don't think that's a good way to judge a player.
In regards to Whalen, I don't see a practice squad slot guy with no big play ability coming out of nowhere and blowing up out of the gate. So, if he emerges as the #3 guy, I don't want no parts in that.
Just cut him, you know, because he is not good.Is Lamar Miller worth burning a claim on?
Pretty good chance that TY will run a lot of the Wayne slot routes. The playing time vacated by Wayne is more likely to be filled by whomever can be effective on the outside. I don't see Whalen leapfrogging Brazill, at least not initially. If DHB is out with the hammy, Brazill and Whalen will both have to play a lot.I'm not necessarily saying the guy is a home run threat.nb009 said:You never know. He'll be working in the slot, with a QB who knows him and trusts him, in a system he's familiar with, with a coach who knows him and trusts him calling the plays.
Sometimes, it's as simple as that.
Two relevant quotes on Whalen:
“(He) knows every intricacy of the offense, so he’s able to play fast and he’s got a great set of hands,” said Pagano.
Said Luck, “(I’m) very excited for Griff. (It’s a) good chance for him. He’s always been ready and ready to roll.”
Just rushed and grabbed him in a league where I'm hurting at WR.Might want to think about the Jags' Mike Brown.
?So after posting my post above, I googled and found this article online. It's from some Joe Schmoe, but nonetheless they are very similiar. It's also worth noting, Cruz's 4.47 40-time is from UMass pro day whereas Brazill's 4.48 40-time is from the NFL Combine. Not to mention, they both have Mexican last names (just kidding....or am I?).
