Welker going forward (1 Viewer)

Upside-

Maybe Moss just isn't the dominant unguardable player he once was. Don't get me wrong, he still demands a double team, but he just can't beat that double like before. Perhaps if this is the case, Welker continues to have 8 - 10 catch w/ TD type games.

Downside-

Athletes like Wes welker just don't dominate pro football week after week after week. He's a GREAT roll player, but the rest of the league is not Tampa Bay and Tennessee. He will revert to the mean.

post makes no sense whatsoever...Welker will continue to get targets and catches no matter who else is at WR, getting double teamed or not.

Back-to-back 112 catch seasons. That's his mean, which is better than just about every wr out there. I'll take it. He's on pace for 100 or so this year despite sitting out two games. Roll player? I think you're crazy.

I'm rolling with this roll player going forward, backward, or any other direction.

If you're able to flip him for Fitzgerald, AJ, Moss, or some other elite option then by all means take it and run! He just won't continue to be quite as good as he's been the last two weeks.

He has 257 yards, 20 receptions, and 3 touchdowns in his last two games. He certainly won't keep up that level of play - no wr can.

In his other games this season, he's had 12, 6, and 8 receptions. He's averaging 10.5 yards per catch this year. Last year his ypc was 10.5. The year before that? He averaged 10.5 ypc...

Brady started off rusty - he seems to be getting a bit better. The Patriots have a lousy defense. Their top couple running backs are hurt.

Welker is a lock to get 6+ catches a week...every week...

It's amazing people forgot about his injury and the "will lock it up for the year" thread so quickly. I thought that's what this thread would be about, but it's about Moss and 2007? In redraft leagues, I think I'd be selling

He had two huge games in a row and a bye week. Injuries can happen to any player but if it happens to Welker it would be a new injury at this point. Not saying an owner shouldn't sell in a redraft if they get what they like but I certainly wouldn't, especially due to his earlier injury situation. The "role player" comment is ridiculous. Welker is money in the bank and due to his high reception totals he's more consistent than most wideouts to boot. I see no reason to expect a huge drop in production.

Their D is ranked like 3rd or 4th in the league, guy.
They're sixth in yardage allowed. They're 3rd in points per game. They also gave up 24 points to the Bills. Their defense imo isn't nearly as good as the stats show. Here are how many points each team has scored against them:Bills - 24Jets - 16Falcons - 10Baltimore - 21Broncos - 20Titans - 0Tampa - 7I think it's more inept offenses than great defense. Atlanta is the only impressive defensive performance imo.
