Joey looked like he targeted WW last week, a lot. Who has the better game this week?
Welker has the better week, as long as teams continue to focus on Chambers.Joey looked like he targeted WW last week, a lot. Who has the better game this week?
I agree!(see sig)This is Chambers' week to breakout (delusional Chambers owner that has been saying this every week since Week 1).![]()
I like WW this weekend enough to stick him in the starting lineup![]()
Every time I say that he scores a TD and earns another start. This is it for Chambers, if he doesn't produce this week I'm done with him. I'm tempted to take him out and put K. Johnson is his place despite his poor matchup.
I don't care for the cheatsheets, they don't seem to be very accurate. I find the sos much more helpful when setting my lineups.Sonny Lubick Blowup Doll said:Why is Welker so low on the cheatsheet?
Dolphins luv bein wetI like Welkers chances tomorrow (considering plugging him in rather that Eric Parker). But, someone in the assistant coach's forum told me the weather is supposed to be bad. I didn't see Thur or Fri weather updates on the FBG site this week. Anyone else know what's on tap as far as the weather is concerned?Weather.com saysartly Cloudy57°F Feels Like:55°FProbability of Precipitation: 20%Wind: From the West at 9 mphBut the other guy seemed pretty certain that it would be raining.
Exactly what I'm thinking and afraid ofwelker may get more rec and yards but chambers will get all the redzone looks.

Wow. Chambers did manage to explode for 4 TD's to just 1 for Welker.I bumped this thread to show the following numbers:2007 Stats....67 for 687 Welker59 for 677 ChambersI was surprised to see these numbers,I thought others may be as well.
Welker is a slot receiver, NOT a TD guy,Chambers is the deep threat, and I use the term"threat" very loosely.Wow. Not me. As a Chambers owner 4 years running, I paid attention to the Miami passing game.Welker had value because he was generally close to the LOS, within 10 yards or so. Maybe 12 yards. This is also known as the "limits of Joey Harrington's range". Welker did an excellent job, I can't remember seeing him drop the ball. But ask any Lions fan, Joey is afraid to throw it down the field. My memories of Chambers are him 20 yards down the field, pulling up, watching some white guy in a security jacket make a spectacular catch 10 yards out of bounds. I find it hard to believe he had that many catches.I bumped this thread to show the following numbers:2007 Stats....67 for 687 Welker59 for 677 ChambersI was surprised to see these numbers,I thought others may be as well.
Come on, you're painting Chambers if *FAR* too rosy of a light. Chambers was flat-out BRUTAL last season, and has been wildly overrated for years. Here are his catch%s for his career-2001- 53%2002- 52%2003- 49%2004- 50%2005- 49%2006- wait for it, because you aren't going to believe this...39%. I am not making this up, Chris Chambers caught THIRTY NINE PERCENT of the balls that were thrown his way last year. His 39% Catch% last year was the worst in the league. Immediately above him on the list were Rashied Davis (39%), Brandon Lloyd (41%), Ashley Lelie (41%), and Alvis Whitted (43%).And that theory that Chris Chambers' catch% was so low because he ran so many deep routes doesn't hold any water, either. If he ran a lot of deep routes, his YPC would be pretty solid. It wasn't- he averaged 11.5 ypc last year. Let's compare this to the other cellar-dwellers. Rashied Davis averaged 13.8 ypc, Brandon Lloyd averaged 15.9 ypc, Ashley Lelie averaged 15.4 ypc, and Alvis Whitted averaged 11.1 ypc.In other words, the only guy last year who was a comp for Chambers in terms of both catch% and ypc was Alvis Whitted. ALVIS WHITTED. A bad QB might make you look worse than you really are, but no QB on the planet could make a decent WR look like Alvis Whitted. Heck, Calvin Johnson had a 47% passer throwing to him last year and he still managed to look decent, didn't he? Heck, even Roy Williams managed to catch 48% of the passes thrown his way by Joey Harrington, and to average 15.3 ypc, and he a 2nd-year pro instead of a 6th-year vet!I have said for years that Chambers is far and away the most overrated WR in the entire NFL (actually, the most overrated WR in at least the past decade, ahead even of Az-Zahir Hakim- speaking of Hakim, he had a 54% catch% and 17.2 ypc with Harrington throwing him the ball. Just FYI).Chris Chambers is a heck of an athlete, but that's really nothing more than a nice way of saying that his routes are sloppy, his hands are BRUTAL, his attention span is nonexistant, and he disappears for long stretches of time... but oh man, does he put up some pretty highlight clips.massraider said:Not me.
