We're Alive: Zombie Audio Theater Production / Podcast Thing (1 Viewer)

I thought there had been a thread for this but I can't find it with the search.  Started the main series about 2 weeks ago, seemed like a good way to waste some time leading up to Halloween.  I really loved it, it's great.  For those who are unfamiliar, this is a podcast that began about a year or so before Walking Dead got on TV.  It's audio theater, pretty much a movie but just audio... voice actors, sound effects, etc.  I really haven't heard anything like it before, it is very well done.  If you want to give a listen, it's free here: https://www.werealive.com/listen/

I just finished the main series, moving on to the Lockdown story next.  Apparently the new Goldrush story is due out any day now, it is in post-production.  If anyone knows of anything similar, please share, this thing made me look forward to my commute, and that's saying something.

There’s going to be more. Scout’s Honor came out on a different feed, and they did a kickstarter to fund the close of the series.

Others that are similar:
-Vast Horizon
-The Bright Sessions
-Derelict
-Gundog
-Ctrl-Alt-Destroy

An Audiobook series that isn’t full cast, but is similar to We’re Alive (but from a military angle) is Extinction War by Nicholas Sansbury Smith. The first 6 books are collected in two downloads from Audible.

Tell me more about the bolded!

Two episodes in. Listening on my commute to work.
Reminds me of old tyme radio ... before tv was invented.
Somewhat entertaining and a nice change of pace from listening to music, political news, or fantasy football advice.

-Vast Horizon: action scifi, scientist has to escape a decomposing ship with help from an AI.

-The Bright Sessions: Therapist for low-level superheroes trying to live normal lives. No action.

-Derelict: action scifi, team has to accomplish a mission in a decomposing ship or undersea station with help from an AI :-)

-Gundog: action scifi: human resistance fighter tries to find a mech to fight alien overlords with.

-Ctrl-Alt-Destroy: action fantasy: international disputes are solved by countries sending teams to compete in an artificial D&D world.

Lol, necrobump.

All of the We're Alive stuff is great and I strongly recommend.
Yeah, I think I did the same search you did years ago - “podcast” doesn’t find the “podcasts” thread. Your question was at the top of results and I thought I’d respond.
