Wes Welkers knee injury (1 Viewer)

We still have no clue on that situation do we? Guy plays week 1, looks great, MIA weeks 2 and 3, then turns right around weeks 4 and 5 and gets 25 targets and 14 catches over those 2 games, while being "limited" in each practice, all week long.

Anyone have ANY insight what the hell is going on here? You think this guy is finishing out the year, or heading towards a knee issue that shuts him down?

Nothing has changed (in that he doesn't practice much and is always limited), and I doubt it will.

Until the NFL fixes their poor injury report system (ends the gamesmanship with real penalties) nothing is going to change.

Signed,

a fellow Wes Welker owner

The good news is that he was removed from the injury report. But I still think the injury could flare up again. Hard to tell with the lack of info coming from NE.

I guess I should be saying "whats YOUR gut tell you about Welkers outlook this season?"We know that he will be a beast (in ppr) IF he plays....the question is do you think he will play?I do, however I still cant make sense how he could miss the entire preseason, play 1 game (very well), then miss 2 more games, then play 2 games very well....makes no sense what so ever.

Removed from the injury report huh? Now taht I havent seen...last I heard he was limited in practice just yesterday...

All I know is that, if Brady didn't mistake the bottom of his shoe for his hands last week on that play in the fourth quarter, Welker would have turned in a monster 100+ yard, 2 TD game. That's what I've been waiting for.

Light listed as doubtfulPosted by Chad Finn, Globe Staff October 16, 2009 04:31 PM Patriots tackle Matt Light, who was knocked out of last week's loss at Denver with a knee injury, is listed as doubtful on the team's injury report for Sunday's matchup with the winless Tennessee Titans. Under league guidelines, a doubtful listing means there is more than a 75 percent chance a player will not play. If Light is out, rookie Sebastian Vollmer is expected to start in his place. The Patriots have five players listed as questionable: defensive backs James Sanders and Shawn Springs, defensive linemen Ty Warren and Vince Wilfork, and tight end Benjamin Watson.Wide receiver Randy Moss was added to the report today after having limited participation in practice because of a shoulder issue. Wide receiver Wes Welker and linebacker Jerod Mayo were among those removed from the report today.PATRIOTSOutRB Fred Taylor (ankle)DoubtfulT Matt Light (knee)QuestionableS James Sanders (shoulder)DB Shawn Springs (knee)DE Ty Warren (calf)TE Benjamin Watson (head)DT Vince Wilfork (ankle)ProbableQB Tom Brady (right shoulder)DE Jarvis Green (knee)WR Randy Moss (shoulder)Removed from reportT Nick Kaczur (ankle)LB Jerod Mayo (knee)G Stephen Neal (not injury-related)WR Wes Welker (knee)

The injury report blackout appears to be reaching pandemic levels as more and more coaches and organizations are coming down with the Belicik flu. If this keeps up it will change fantasy football as we know it. Outside of the organization, only the family members of injured players will know the severity of the injuries.

Gotcha. I'd guess Welker is good to go.From last week...He took a big hit in the lower back against Denver but was back in there after a few plays. He was also open for a long play but Brady and him couldn't connect on a busted Broncos coverage. He looked quick in his cuts and was a consistent target. He's probably not 100% yet but who is after a month?
