Westbrook come out of Balt game intact? (1 Viewer)

He played even when the game was out of hand- I believe because Reid only carried 2 Rb's this week and Buchalter was hurt. Now he has the 4 day turnaround. Has there been any word out of Philly how Westbrook felt after the game?

I went to Eagles.com and the only thing I could find was some comments by Westbrook after the game supporting McNabb and Kolb. He didn't mention injury or himself, so I guess that is good...

don't know about his health being intact but his manhood may be in question on that tackle attempt on Reed's 108yd return

Reid's monday press conf just got put up on eagles site.. All the questions were about the McNabb situation, but at the beginning he said Westbrook would not practice today because of "swelling in the knee and his sore ankle" That was the last he mentioned of it... Seems to be the same as the past couple of weeks... My guess now is he won't practice but will play.....

I don't think he came out any worse than he went in, which was banged up. Barring another serious injury, until the Eagles are mathematically eliminated, he'll do what Plax did last year: never practice, but always play.

Another in a long list of Andy Reid blunders. He only dressed 2 RBs so when C-Buck went out with an MCL issue Westy had to play even in a blowout.Well coached, Andy. Nice job. Let's expose the best player to injury down by 4 scores, shall we?On a short week no less.Any other questions about Reid?

I agree-- With Westbrook banged up, and Buck not the most durable Rb ever, you would think he would have had Booker or someone active, just in case... Instead he exposes Westbrook to punishment on a hard field. Was even giving carries up the middle to Westbrook when the game was well into the blowout.. Terrible coaching.

I would love to see this guy miss weeks 14-16.
He may as well have sat for his owners this week, and I'm betting Thursday nite will not be much different. I doubt I'll be starting him over a couple RB3s this week. Then you have a long-rest week and a good match up week 15 sandwiched between the Giants (14) & Redskins (16). I don't see Westy being a playoff force at RB this year... unless you have a 1st round bye.

Westbrook looked the same as he did the previous week - he looks fine to me. He played the whole game, was pass blocking, even ran a few sharp out routes (Kolb didn't even look at him). He just needs some freakin' execution by the line, QB, and Reid. This ain't about Westbrook. He could produce, and produce well, in his current less than 100% state. He can't do it alone though. Hey, you get a mismatch on a linebacker? You might want to throw it to Westbrook instead of heaving it into triple coverage. Just a thought..

Reid has turned into a friggin' clown. I was going nuts that Westbrook was still in the game down 36-7 with less than 2 minutes to go. Then I realized Andy Einstein only dressed 2 RB's even though Westbrook was a game-time decision. I always root for the local teams but this team from Lurie and Banner on down to Reid is very hard to root for anymore. I'm really starting to enjoy seeing them fall on their pompous fat ###es. :goodposting:I'm guessing that Westbrook goes on Thursday.

 Westbrook isn't the problem. It's an O-line that has forgotten how to run-block.

Side question: Is Buckhalter's injury serious enough to sideline him for the season? If so, is Booker the pickup (handcuff?)
