Westbrook from here on out (1 Viewer)

I was sitting in the #5 hole on draft night and the guy in front of me took Westbrook so I took Addai. Through the first 2 weeks of the season Westbrook looked like a world beater and then the injury. What's his status because the guy who drafted him wants me to trade Bush for Westbrook and I'm inclined to do it b/c Bush's schedule is tough from here on out.

What do you guys think about Westbrook from here on out and have you heard any info on his injury?

I think you will regret trading Westbrook. Here is a guy who gave you 2000+ yards from scrimmage last year, numerous TDs (around 12), and has been "questionable" for games his entire career. He missed one game due to ankle, and will in all probability be back in week five. He is still indeed a top three fantasy option....a year end-year out fantasy stud! And for the love of God...don't trade him for Steven Slaton.

Guys, I'm not the one trading Westbrook. I'm trading Bush for Westbrook, I just want to know what you think of his long term prospects this year or if you think the injury bug will stay with him all season.

Thanks

The injury bug stays with him EVERY year, but don't let that stop you. Westbrook will be there as long as the Eagles are in the playoff hunt. I wouldn't worry to much about the ankle. I am a Westy dynasty owner.

If you could get him right now for TO would you do it?

ETA: I don't want to turn this in to an ACoach thread. Throw in any elite WR...Moss, Boldin, TO, etc. Just curious what his value is with the injury risk in midseason.

With Westy the good comes with the bad! He always misses games. He always wins you games, he will cost you games. (The kneel down)

His replacement cost me a game too already. Lost 114-111. Them 4 tries from the 1 the bears stuffed! So it;'s what it is in Philly. Live with it! Same way with McNabb.

You gotta love the ceiling comes with the good but man oh man I;ve learned over the years it's hard to win fantasy championships with these guys!

Yes on the TO trade. Your ripping the dude off. T.O nothing even close to Westy in value!

Getting Westy for Bush is also a good trade! At least you pretty much know when Westy plays your gonna get good stats. With Bush he only shows up 50% of the time at best and have to eat his dead stats the other 50% of time!

There is no guarantee that anyone on your team will be healthy the whole year. Westbrooks seems to carry the injury prone title but he's only missed one game in each of the past two seasons. Westbrook is playing like the #1 RB in fantasy football, maybe even the #1 fantasy player. Had me regretting taking LT before him at #1. You trade anyone on your team one for one for Westbrook, hands down. Dude has 5 TDs in two games, prob would have more if he didn't go down in week 3. He was running full speed before the game last week, just has limited horizontal movement. He'll be fine this week.

Wow. 5 TDs in bascially 2 games. Only missed two games in the two previous seasons. #1 fantasy running back in entire league. Running at full speed before last week's game.

How quickly the tide turns.......

Meaning he'll pick up where he left off next week, get him on your team.

I assume you're talking redraft, but I was offered Westy for Bush in a keeper league, I'm inclined to decline, but is it close enough to counter, asking for another player? If so, how good a player? PPR - but that helps both.
