Westbrook Outlook.... (1 Viewer)

I was concerned the loss of McNabb would severely hinder Westy's production. I know the Colts aren't exactly stout against the run, but last night Westbrook looked to be every bit of the focal point of the Eagle offense. He saw 20+ carries, eclipsed the century mark, scored a rushing touchdown and caught a ton of passes out of the backfield. He also was not pulled at the goalline. Moving forward, I don't see how Westbrook doesn't continue this pace. Other owners agree, or am I missing the bigger picture that the Eagles now officially suck?

I think it helps him to some degree, as they lean on him more whether it's in the passing game or running game. He also did well in the past when McNabb went down - and there isn't as much of a TD vulture threat.

I never believed that Westy's production would suffer. The WRs take the hit because Garcia can't throw downfield. As a result, the team will call more runs and short passes, which benefits Westy.

He will suffer greatly against better defenses, IMO. For example, I don't expect much from him week 13 vs. Carolina, nor later when they travel to Dallas. Defenses will key on him more & more; the better defenses wil just be able to actually stop/slow him down. I need him to put up #'s, but I am not counting on it...

Didn't Ladell Betts just go over the century mark against the Panthers? That game will be in Philly on MNF - I think Westy comes up big.

for westbrook, it's not production it's health. if he's on the field he will score. apart from LT, he's got the highest ppg in ppr on par with LJ, and it was the same last year.
