Westbrook Week 13 (1 Viewer)

Hey look on the bright side...unlike arizona the eagles dont have to travel across the country on a short week and play in a cold hostile environment...that alone makes this game very managable for the eagles and the offence(and defense)...i see westy and the crew having a good game if for no other reason than arizona NOT having a good game
People underestimate this. I am so close to inserting Fargas this week. But this post, for some reason gives me pause.Great Sig, which book is that from. With the semester ending I am looking forward to reading a good old fashioned hack and slash book.
I hope you started westy over fargas sabertooth :coffee:

Nope, started Westbrook partially because of your post about the weather and the flight. Thanks for keeping my head in the game! :hey:

I was wrong. I didnt think the eagles would run at all this week. Looks like Marty took over alot of playcalling this week. Amazing what running can do

I too had Fargas in since Tuesday morning, but thanks to BustedKnuckles' post, I put Westy in this afternoon. :D

Thanks for the convincing posts on here, started Westbrook this week after sitting him last week for P. Thomas. Not a bad start to the week...

Chris Johnson

Brian Westbrook

Larry Fitzgerald

Benched Westy for Kevin Smith today. :bag:

Westbrook had looked so horrible lately, and I really thought the rooke would show up on the national stage. :ptts:

On a positive note, it is good to see him back in form - really the best he's looked all season. If I somehow overcome this colossal error and make the playoffs, I look forward to the Westbrook of old putting me over the top for the championship run.

Benched for Hightower :bag:

'Bones, you will always be my hero for your, ahem, lively threads in the FFA. But starting Kevin Smith against the Titan D over Westbrook at home? Tell me you were drunk, computer was down, something. Horrible.

thankful I started him (and mcnabb), had them benched for mcfadden/thigpen right up until I left for the relatives this afternoon

honestly still didnt think he looked like the real westy today. cuts werent super sharp and didnt shake tackles as well.

Burn in hell Westbrook.
My sentiments, exactly! Westbrook scored 7 TD's the two weeks I went against him. To add insult on top of this it is against a team that hasn't changed their lineup all year and that I'll probably lose to twice now and be eliminated from the playoffs.

I benched him last night and against the Falcons also; I had Lendale on the bench also. It looked like a good idea until they essentially pulled CJ at the mid point of the 2nd qtr. I only hope that MJD doesn't throw up a stinker against Houston.I hate to leave that many points on the table but I am really glad to see Westy performing better. Of course it's not just Westbrook we need playing well it is important for McNabb to have game as well.

It's amazing, isn't it? What happened to the rib, ankle, coccyx, and TMJ problems? :kicksrock: He looked like the Westy of old and now he's got a long break to boot...

Let's not lose sight of the fact that we had yet another West to East meltdown by the Cardinals (the main reason I reinserted Westy over Fargas to begin with). I don't think his performance was extra special. He looked better, not great. 2 receptions for 7 yards? And one of those didn't feature a defender within 5 yards! Great #s, especially thanks to TDs, but I wasn't blown away. Just consider it a makeup game for last week(s) numbers and temper enthusiasm. New York hasn't exactly been a mecca for opposing FFB RBs lately either.

I think almost any NFL RB would have had a monster game last night if they played RB for the Eagles. The playcalling by Philly was PERFECT and the execution by the line and McNabb was almost PERFECT as well. Arizona was completely outcoached and outplayed.

I don't know about outcoached. I think that short week and long flight had a lot to do with it. Kind of a perfect storm they fell into there.

exactly...if the tables were turned and the eagles had to fly to arizona there no way they would have done as well as they did...imo

It was a perfect storm, BUT they were certainly outcoached. Arizona usually uses Cover 3 primarily, but played Cover 2 and Cover 4 on Thursday night. They did it probably to try cover up for Rod Hood being out, but it was a bad move.

To be honest how many saw this coming? I too got caught with my pants down and decided it was best to reserve Westbrook for Dunn. Who wouldn't without having hindsight

At least no one else got his #'s. Now I'd like to see Cat Fancy do more of the same. Anyone remember those Cat Fancy spoof ads with ESPN the magazine when it was first launched in 1999? Warrick Dunn, "I know one for sure, I'm never doing Cat Fancy again."

Edit date of ESPN the magazine launch - somewhere in the late 90's I believe.
