What are Kaepernick owners doing? (1 Viewer)

He's looked dreadful the last two weeks. Are you sticking with him as your starter or do you have another option?

I would be worried if Vernon Davis is out for any period of time. SF becomes very easy to defend when Davis isn't in there, and it was painfully obvious yesterday.

Second, SF's defense is good so there won't be many shootouts, like against GB.

I still think Kaepernick will be a decent option, but anyone who thought that he would be an elite QB jumped the gun way too early.

Im thinking WWQBBC very soon, but I would sell if opportunity presented itself

I my main keeper league I am not an owner but he was traded this morning for the following........

Kaepernick, Fitzgerald, 2014 2nd Round Rookie

for

Luck, Edelman

Kaep owner said he wanted a franchise QB and felt Kaep was not one........

I think it's time to go to the wire. He's cost me two matchups so far, that can't happen. Has to burn me once at least before he's back in my lineup.

Especially as mentioned, if Vernon is out, he's definitely out of my lineup. He looked very ordinary yesterday, and I really fear teams have him figured out. Especially if the passing game is not a threat, which he has been very unimpressive in, teams are limiting the run, where he has his value. Not looking to me like an elite passer at all who can survive without his best weapons. You take Crab and Vernon away, and Cinderella loses her slipper.

Going to the wire until he proves to me otherwise/ gets out of this funk.

Fortunately backed up running QBs such as Kaepernick, Wilson, Cam in all leagues I drafted them with Dalton.
:goodposting: and exactly my strategy.

Look, everyone knew Kaep and Wilson were higher-ceiling / lower-floor guys than most of the other QBs around their respective ADPs, both because of their limited performance history and because running QBs are going to be more injury-prone in general. I own them where I can because you play FF to win, not to not lose ... but with guys like that you've gotta have a consistent backup plan like a Dalton, Eli, or Schaub.

I will say that I wouldn't have gone after Kaep if I had known the impact Crabtree's absence was going to have on defensive game-planning for him.

Going to keep starting him, although if he keeps playing like "Krap"ernick I may try packaging him in a trade after a good performance.

I'm glad you didn't capitalize the thread title. Then I'd have no choice but to start him alongside Roddy White.

Losing mostly.

Rivers is my backup, which is a decent option, but I'm a Niners homer, so I'm going down with the ship. I'm still holding out hope that this can get turned around...especially when Vernon Davis returns.

Probably going to have to look for a trade. Wasn't able to get a decent backup in a 14-teamer (EJ Manuel) and am ready to hit the panic button. As Parcells/BB are fond of saying to their assistants when they want to pull an underperformer from a game, "I've seen enough of number 7."

Rolling with Terrelle Pryor against Washington week 4, expecting some garbage time stats. Kaep may come back, but his receivers are just not getting seperation and teams have figured out how to stop his runs...

I thought you were going to say, "If you have two QBs, you don't have any..."

Teams are catching on to the read option. He is not a good throwing QB. He will struggle the rest of the year. I got rid of him after seattle game

Wow he looks awful. I gave him one more chance but thats it. Time to shop for a Qb
I have a solid team he's currently ruining. I'm cutting bait if he doesn't show something tonight. I'm not cutting to the wire, but definitely going to try to trade/pick up a serviceable QB for the rest of the season. Kaep is not playing like a serviceable fantasy QB. Teams are containing the rush threat, and he's doing a scary bad job in the passing game. Weapons disarmed at WR or not, he won't be starting on my team again until he burns me on my bench, because this can't continue.

I'm slowly warming to the idea. He's showing nothing in terms of the upside I thought he possessed at the end of 2012, and there are QB's on the wire running circles around him.

Somewhere in the KC area, Alex is smiling.

He really needs Vernon Davis back and I don't know that I'd count this gimpy appearance as BACK. He is based on speed, hard to believe he's 100% coming off the hamstring strain. Maybe with 10 days rest he'll be closer next time around.

Benched Kaep for Romo this week but there's gonna be a ton of fantasy owners kicking themselves for jumping ship in the second half of the season.

Hoping he does something to salvage value so I can offload him ASAP. I've seen enough he's timid and this offense looks horrible.
