What are some quick and easy recipes to cook (1 Viewer)

I was given one of these last year, but have never used it, so I figure it is about time.

What are some easy things to cook on there? I love chicken, so anything like that would be great. I am also trying to eat a little healthier these days.

And recommendations would be greatly appreciated. :)

Brush a boneless chicken breast with a little olive oil. Season the hell out of it with Cajun seasoning. Cook until the pink disappears.

Quesadillas

(2) Whole wheat tortillas

1 Cup cooked chicken breast (shredded, cubed, or Godforbid, precooked bag of frozen)

1/4 Cup chopped red onion

BBQ Sauce

Shredded cheese

Spray grill. Sammich ingrediants between tortillas. Cook.

Heat grill

Add Chicken

It ain't rocket science
Throw some onions and peppers in there....add sour cream and maybe some salsa to a tortilla.

I lived off these for a while..

Great little gadget. Use some type of spray oil everytime (I use olive oil) so cleanup is easy. With the high heat on both sides the Foreman grill does a really good job of searing and creating a crust if you have a rub or marinade on the chicken. Impossible to screw up.

I use several different rubs but in a pinch will just toss garlic powder, salt and pepper on em.

Works great for a quick panini as well. slice of cheese, few slices of italian/spanish ham (proscuitto works great), garlic rub with your favorite fixins and POW you got lunch.

I was given one for Xmas. Undoubtedly the most useless hunk of junk I was ever given. Chicken sucked, burgers sucked. After 4 terrible meals I threw it out and went back to my steamer for chicken and a skillet for burgers.

Everything!

The Geroge Foreman Grill is amazing.

If you can cook it ... you can cook it better on the George Forman Grill.

When I have to fend for myself for dinner then I will use that to cook. You cant go wrong with it.

slice garlic thin (only hard part). Olive oil in fry pan, garlic til golden, red pepper flakes, can o tuna (solid light or italian tunny fish in oil), big squeeze lemon, big pat butter. Toss into pasta (siphon a lil pasta water into the lemon tuna - makes it stick better) . Make a bunch - even better next day cold. enjoy -=

Good to have you back Wikkid. I thought I was just drunk when I saw a post of yours the other day but I guess the return is real.

Tuna Steaks.

Sprinkle a little sesame oil and other cooking on it. Sear for less than a minute each side. That's it.

Mix up some rooster sauce, mayo and garlic and a dash of sesame oil for a dipping sauce.

Lots of variations - but with little to no prep, you have a great meal for 2 in less than 2 minutes.

Take chicken breast, put between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound down to about 1/2" uniform thickness. Season w/salt, pepper, garlic and paprika. Cook on med-high heat 2 mins on each side.

Paprika is actually really handy, nice to throw into a lot of dishes...

For all the above recipes calling for chix breast, substitute organic boneless thighs.

Hear me now and thank me later.

So the lil lady brought home a ton of potatoes.

Any ideas as to what could be done with these fairly easily? Food-wise I mean.
Potato bacon cheddar soupPotato pancakes

Last, bake a few for dinner tonight. Roll in olive oil, cut open and season with salt/pepper/parsley, wrap in foil and bake. If you wish add sour cream, cheese, and chives once done baking.

Make the soup while they are baking. Use whatever is left and what fits in your largest pot since this freezes well.

Oven fries. Not my favorite but they are simple.

Just make sure the potatoe wedges are cut thick and fairly uniform. Toss with oil. Single layer. 425 for 30 minutes or so.

Season with garlic or parmesan if you're feeling ambitious.
