what are you guys doing with percy harvin this week? seeing he probally is a game time decision, maybe picking up golden tate or sidney rice and hope harvin plays.if not, just stick tate or rice in lineup. thoughts?

This week, just hoping he plays a few snaps. I'd like to use him next week with multiple byes. Won't feel good starting him until he's played a game first.

I had to pick up Brandon Gibson to cover byes this week. If Seattle played Sunday and Harvin was active, I'd start him.

I have Blackmon and Demaryius on bye next week and I predict Harvin will be in my lineup.

Don't think he'll play, ESPN's Stephania Bell said he's at least another week away even with his speedy recovery. I think the GT decision is just Caroll giving the opposition something to think about and prepare for. I could be wrong, but that's my guess. You'd have to be crazy to start him IMO.

Taking a wait and see approach for sure. The downside of possibly having to plug in Tate (assuming I had better options) isn't worth the risk. I mean, he'd probably see limited snaps anyway.

I think he would have been a good guy to sell, seems like his value is already perceived as a WR1 or very close to that, which is pretty crazy for a guy that hasnt practiced or player all year. I have inquired about him in all my league and everyone wants a stud for him which doesnt seem like its worth the risk without seeing him play yet. who knows if he will be back 100% and be a focal part of Sea offense right away or even at all.

bingo.
Thought this was a no brainer
As always, depends on options.

A: options are Myles white and Miles Austin, I'll start Percy if he's playing.

B: options are Gordon, Cruz, Blackman he's benched.

Wow you just named my 3 starters and I have Harvin on the bench. I am waiting a week or 2.

On a side note my biggest pet peeve in fantasy football is when you hold a guy that is injured and the week he comes back you get a ton of low ball offers for him.

No way they play him this week. No reason to rush him back against the Rams.
while I completely agree about no need to rush him back vs Rams, if they deem him healthy, why not get him a handful of snaps to get him accustomed to game speed?

this wouldn't do much for those wanting to start him in fantasy, but I could see it making sense from the Hawks perspective.

I'm hoping for a solid 5-6 game run, with a bye week to rest up mixed in there.

This week, no way. I'd be shocked to see him go. Of course Carroll is going to say he might go -- make a team game plan for him, or at least put the thought in their heads.

Think this week is off and next week is a 20-30 snap kind of week. Week 10 he might be close to full go and week 11 is where I'm really hoping I can start flexing him with confidence. Bye week 12, then a sick 4 game run to take me to a championship, or at least that's what I'm hoping.

I'd rather see him sit this week, take 15 snaps next week and 30 the following week -- rather have him 100% for 4-5 games than 80% for 7 or 8.

I understand the idea of they don't need him to beat the Rams but at some point he's going to play. If he's ready to play now I don't see the point of not playing him. Why delay the inevitable? If this is a winnable game it would actually be an ideal time to get him on the field so he gets acclimated to playing again.

Yeah, I'm starting Riley Cooper and Kris Durham in one league. If they announce Percy will play before Sunday, I'll probably put him in.

He's put up WR1 numbers in the past when he's been healthy, and he's moving into a very productive offense. Obviously nothing is guaranteed, but with that potential upside and considering his owners have reserved a spot on the bench for him all this time, you can't blame them for wanting the equivalent of a top 15 WR in return. If I trade him for a Nicks or Jerome Simpson and he blows up like before, I'm kicking myself. But if I didn't own him, would I trade, say, Torrey Smith or Blackmon for him? No way. Because I haven't seen it yet. Thus I would guess he's not being traded much in leagues right now.

If they commit to getting him 3-5 touches on plays designed for him (screens, reverses, etc), he could very well be a WR1 as he's likely to get another 3-5 in the flow of their regular offense.

If they don't commit to getting him those touches, I think he's a boom or bust WR2, or a flex with high upside.

I think they'll commit to getting him the ball as it'll add another element to that offense, but we might be 3-4 weeks away from seeing consistency. Anyone counting on him in the next few weeks might want to find an alternative.

not this week, not with a monday night game, not with a team they should handle.

seattle is thinking super bowl, they dont need him this week.

i doubt he travels. im assuming they are traveling saturday also.

if i had to guess.. i'd say next week he starts to see some touches but not until after their bye week 12 will we see him really gett involved

this thinking of not playing him if they don't need him is wrong. if he is healthy, he plays. Seattle doesn't need Lynch this week but he will play also

You also have to factor in that Harvin didn't even get training camp/preseason reps. He may not play for another game or two, but he does need enough time to get comfortable in that offense. He could be the factor that puts Seattle over the top as a Super Bowl winner.

May take a chance on him at flex this week. I've got J.Bell and Roddy White as my only other options. I'm stretched thin this week, with Forte, Hilton, and Mathews on bye, and just lost Martin.

Leaning Bell, but that could change depending on how things shake out.

comparing different things there.

Harvin they have been winning without.. Is harvin 100% is he 75%? harvin has had health issues in the past as we have seen.

Why would you rush him back, especially on the road, this week, when the goal is Super Bowl

same scenario as Graham. get the guy to 100% before running him out there for some guys who need him for fantasy

If the goal is the Super Bowl, then if healthy he will play. "Rushing" him back is silly, if he isn't ready to play then he won't, but like Gronk, he will play if ready. You want him to get as many reps as possible (like Gronk), so that he is 100% in sync come playoff time and a huge weapon (why they traded a first for him).

As someone posted above, they probably don't need Lynch to win against Bradfordless Rams, so why does he play? They want Harvin to be rolling in the playoffs, not "rested" and out of sync.

I own him in 2 of 3 leagues, partially because I can keep him cheap (drafted him), and in one league where I have a lot of WR options (Blackmon, DThomas, Randle, Douglas and Boykin) and I wouldn't start him week 1 he is active, especially on a Monday night. In my other league where I just lost Wayne, I play him if there is an indication on Sunday that he has fully practiced and will play. With Gronk, I didn't hesitate when he was active. I don't believe in Harvin the same way because it is his first game with Wilson, but week 2 he is active, definitely.

its week 8, not week 15.

Looking for a handful of touches, one big play while he sits on my bench.

Then becomes trade bait week 9.

I traded him this week for philip rivers. I figure thats pretty decent value even if he performs well given the price i payed for him (waiver wire)
