\What are you guys doing with roddy white.are you trying to trade him now ? what are you looking to get for him? are you trying to target him? what are you giving for him? just curious.I have matt ryan and would like to aquire roddy white but dont want to give up too much for him.

I own him and am keeping him on the bench until he shows signs of life. I would be open to trading him, but am not trying just because his value is low. If offered, I would evaluate him based on his potential and not his first 2 weeks.

Agreed.

Doing the same thing. Keeping him on the bench and waiting for him to heal up. With this strategy, I'll probably have to watch his 1st big game rot away on my bench, but I guess that's the breaks with an ankle sprain.

On my bench. Waiting it out. I'd be open to trade but I'm not looking to cash out.

Atlanta has a week 6 bye and I'm hopeful that he gets to 100% by week 7. We'll see. Fingers crossed.

Benching until he either:

Practices every day leading up to gameday

or

Puts up 6+ targets and top 20wr in a week

High ankle sprains take a bit to come back from, and all indications are that he isn't damaging his ankle more by being a decoy. One he comes back to full speed he'll be a weekly top 20 play with occasional WR1 ceiling weeks.

I'd be buying him now.

my guess is he wont be startable until after their week 5 bye

He was dropped in my league so I'm putting a WW request in for either J. Gordon, Amendola, Colston or Fleener. Probably going with J.Gordon.

gordon, amendola and colston, white are on waiver wire.. that league isn't even mentionable, you play with 3rd graders.

Perhaps I wasn't clear in my post. I have Gordon, Amendola, Colston and Fleener and need to figure out who I'm dropping to put in the claim for White.

Yeah, this clarification doesn't help. Your league mates are 3rd graders. And that's an insult to the poor kids in 3rd grade.

I don't expect him to be playable until week 7 at the earliest and that's assuming his high ankle sprain is actually healing with all these decoy routes they are making him run. After that another week or three to get in sync. Hopefully he'll be useful in the playoffs, but if you are counting on him to help you get to the playoffs I'd cut my loses.

It can take 6 weeks to recover from a high ankle sprain, although Roddy is playing through it. He injured it on 8/15, and this is week 5.

This Sunday @ Miami will be the last game I am benching him. He should be good to go at home against the Patriots in week 4 and the Falcons will need him.

Letting him rest as I enjoy DJax's resurgence in his place.
Djax has never been as good as hes been playing, and likely won't continue to.
That's kind of the point of this thread.

What are people doing with Roddy White?

He's on my bench until he's healthy (assuming Week 4 or 6, if everything goes well), and DJax is playing in his place.

Yeah, I want to see Jackson keep this up the whole season, because I'd love that production out of my 3rd WR. But I don't need him to do that...just continue to put up decent numbers until White returns.

I suppose if you think Jackson's going to completely stop performing entirely from here forward, you're right. But he's a WR1 on a high-powered offense, so he's not going to disappear completely, and I'm probably a bit more optimistic about his year-end total than most here who've probably been burned repeatedly.

They'll find ways to keep getting him the ball, and I'll take some 25 point nights along with a some 7 point nights from my injury fill-in.

Hopefully Roddy gets healthy soon and it's a non-issue.

My point was straight forward.

As far as Roddy White goes - I'm still trying to buy and literally no one across five leagues will sell him.
