What are your FF pet peeves? (1 Viewer)

Westbrook, Questionable (plays in the afternoon game), Questionable next week (doesn't play in the afternoon game). Stallworth probable then sits.

Oh, not being able to change your line-up before the afternoon games.

Guys that want to trade but only if it's clearly in their favor.

Trading a good WR on my bench (Berrian) and then watching Larry Fitzgerald and Roy Williams get hurt on Sunday.

Guys that want to trade but only if it's clearly in their favor.
Case in point. I got a trade offer the other day from a guy who is out of QBs for week 6 due to byes and injury. He's a contender and needs to avoid the loss of 15-20 points at the QB position. He's clearly got a need. I'm not stupid, I can see he has this need. So this guy asks for my QB2 who is a 2nd year player (dynasty league here) and instead of offering something reasonable he offers a WR that is literally on the WW in all seven of my other leagues. Remember, this is the owner with the need. Unbelievable. He offers me trash so he can have a QB2 and leave me without one, when he's the one with a hole in his lineup. He might as well have added to his message "I think you're a moron and that's why I think you'll accept this offer." Talk about developing the opposite of goodwill with another owner. That kind of crap really frys me.

what MOX league was this
I'm in three leagues that aren't MOX leagues and even if it were a MOX league, neither the league, owner, or players involved would ever be mentioned here.

The one guy in the league who is willing to to accept a balanced deal, checks his team once, possibly twice per week. I want to get a deal done, damnit!

An NFL team that clinches their division early on a decides to bench their starting players ... to save them for THEIR playoffs!

The guy with 7 QB's on his bench
This is only the tip of the ice burg with "that guy" in our league this year. He had Palmer,Frye,Leinert, Ben and THEN traded T.O. for Vince Young. Now, this guy only has LT and Ladell Betts as RB and Keyshawn is is #1 WR......He is 0-5 and top o' the WW and this week Leon Washington AND Bryant Johnson were available....dude signs BRUCE GRADKOWSKI... :wall: Yes, this owner is my Pet Peeve this year....

- the guy who doesn't seem to know jack about FF, has draft picks that make you scratch your head, yet he still puts together a winning team

- you spend endless hours preparing for your draft but your team has a losing season

- losing by less than three points when your kicker missed a field goal

- the week your team scored the second most points but the guy you played scored the most

- owning T.O. and watching Bledsoe consistently throw bad passes to him

- I have more but will stop

when someone throws a fit over an offer of mine, and then proceeds to offer me utter junk. offering Leinert for Bledsoe (dynasty) = fair deal. i don't deserve to be cursed out for an offer like that. he then offers me Bledsoe for TJ Housh. UNREAL!!!!!

oh yea, and ignoring my emails/trade offers drives me crazy too. in fact, i think i'd even rather be cursed out than ignored... reminds me of my ex-girlfriend...

Offer him Ron Dayne for Ladanian Tomlinson. See if he understands irony. Repeat.

when someone doesn't acknowledge your trade request.deny or accept, that's all i want!
What's worse is when someone declines your trade offer(fine, that's your right) BUT THEN goes on to lecture you how you should be running your team. Thanks for the advice jag-off.... but the "decline" button will suffice. BTW this swing from annoying to laughable when your team is performing much better than the team belonged by this fountian of FF info and strategy. Most of the time I just stroke their over-inflated ego and thank them for the advice so as not to burn any bridges with a possible future trading partner but it takes a lot of will-power.

When you get the next week lineups in email (head to head leagues) and Monday nite football is not even over or waiver wire picks (avg. wed-thur) or injury results (11:30 Sun.)..total lineups receive (my average is 6-10 lineups from same team owner for that week)! Why who cares idiots do it :lmao:

On that note, I gotta tell my trade story. Dude offers me Michael Jenkins for Frank Gore. Ridiculus right? So just to ba an ### I counter offer Gore for Peyton Manning. (Only person on his team who I'd consider trading Gore for. Maybe Westbrook if he was healthy.) So I get this email asking me what round I drafted Gore in and he'd give me whatever WR he drafted in that round. That would be fair. Otherwise I am just wasting his time. Then he offers Rod Smith for Gore. WTF, I write back telling him who is wasting whos time, It doesn't matter what round you draft somebody in, what matters is production. The fact that i got Gore in the 6th round doesn't mean a fair trade is for some schmuck (Sorry Rod) you drafted late because Gore is playing like a second round pick. (If he looked at my roster, he would see that I am set at WR and Neither Smith or Jenkins would ever sniff my starting line up) he offers a lousy trade first, but I am the one wasting his time. I don't think so.

My biggest gripe is that all leagues don't allow 1 emergency backup to go in in case of a GTD. For those of us who actually get to go to their team's games, this part of FF sucks.

You ought to be able to enjoy FF and real Sunday football. Not just sit there with a jerkoff towel, waiting for the last minute news. Same goes for leagues where you can whore the FA pool during games.

I agree with this one and am kind of surprised the "best player plays" at each position hasn't been more popular. That way you can root for your entire roster instead of just part of it every sunday. Add in the occasional slow responce of most FF sites on random sundays and it's just nicer not to have to worry about whether player A is playing or not and whether you had time to switch at the last minute.

So given his logic, Benard Berrian and Greg Jennings are only worth a kicker, since those WRs were undrafted in most leagues. Ask this owner if his mom had any kids that lived.

Wow, I feel like the angry old man from SNL because I have a lot of FF pet peeves.

-Owners who are always accusing others of collusion, when they really don't even know what it means.

-When other owners never get back to you on a trade offer.

but my #1 pet peeve is small roster sizes. I used to be in a league that had a roster limit of 12 (start 7, only 5 on the bench). The argument from the other owners was always "small rosters are good because that means there are always plenty of good players available on waivers all the time." This used to drive me crazy! There would always be guys I wanted to pick up, but I usually didn't because I already had 12 better players.

(On a side note, does anyone even remember the angry old man played by Dana Carvey?)

The guy in the league who gets all giddy and jumps at every chance to correct someone's spelling or grammatical error like it's the wittiest rip he's ever come up with - and then finishes his comment with something like "your a dumb***". What a winner.

When I screw up a trade that goes completely the opposite way of how I had envisioned it, blowing up the very logic I used in putting the whole thing together.

For example, imagine this worst possible trade that can easily be in the running for worst move of the year.

Team A has Steve Smith after week 1. THere was no sign of him even practicing. All kinds of speculation about his 2 bad hamstrings.

Team B has Fitzgerald.

Team A offers team B Smith for Fitz. Team B counters with Fitz for Smith and Deuce McAllister, citing the injury risk of Smith.

Team A mulls it over, decides he can't let Smith ride the pine indefinitely and pulls the trigger.

Week 3, Smith is back and better than ever, Deuce emerges as a must start each week, and Fitz (in an ironic twist) pulls or slightly tears his hamstring.

That my friends is one of my FF pet peeves.

5 digit members and their "Mark It Down" threads.

Guys like DonnyT who talk a big game and then disappear when they get oVVned once again.

People who do get joffer's humor.

GWB...obviously it's his fault.

Defensive scoring for TDs. Lots of games are won and lost based on the unpredictable event of an INT/FL going the other way for a TD.

WR/TE Colston allowed to start as a TE in a casual Yahoo league I'm in.

Drafts instead of auctions.

Bad league rules.

Any waiver system that requires you to be sitting at home to get a player right when an injury occurs.
