What city or home town boasts the most NFL players? (1 Viewer)

First off - not sure if this is the right forum or not? Feel free to move this if necessary.

Does football have a holy grail of birth locales like San Pedro de Macoris does in baseball?

Per Wikipedia - San Pedro de Macoris is well-known for producing Major League Baseball players, such as Joaquín Andújar, George Bell, Robinson Canó, Héctor Carrasco, Rico Carty, Luis Castillo, Jesús Colome, Mariano Duncan, Tony Fernández, Pedro Guerrero, José Jiménez, Josias Manzanillo, Guillermo Mota, José Offerman, Rafael Ramírez, Juan Samuel, Julio Santana, Alfonso Soriano, Sammy Sosa, Fernando Tatis, Salomón Torres and José Valverde.

My guess is that California boasts the most NFL players by state, but I wouldn't be surprised if Texas was the right answer either? What about breaking it down to city or even hometown?

San Diego has produced it's fair share of running backs. Marcus Allen is the only one in the hall of fame but we might all agree that Ricky Williams, Terrell Davis and reggie Bush are all pretty good. All from the SD area.

John Lynch is from the San Diego area along with LaRoi Glover.

Good info  Thanks

The town I teach in was home to Tab Ramos, John Harkes, & Tony Meola. All members of the US Soccer team in the 90's. Not bad for a town that's about 4 square miles in size. (p.s. I know it's not FOOTBALL...but it is futbol)

I would have to guess that Pittsburgh has the most in the way of HOF QBs (not sure about active or not). There have been a lot of great QBs who hail from Da Burgh, as my fiance makes me well aware of :)

In Hawaii, theres a town called Kahuku, where there are alot of players started out .komeatu, mili, naeole, etc i cant think or the rest. but I know there are a few from here.

By the way, Kimo Van Olhoeffen, (pardon the spelling) is from a very small school on Molokai, (grad class approx 40)

While Atlanta may not be the hometown of that many NFL players, there are a ton who make Atlanta their off-season and post-retirement home.

To be more accurate, it's Western PA, not Pittsburgh. Montana is from Monongahela, PA, Kelly is from East Brady, PA, Namath is from Beaver Falls, PA, Blanda is from Youngwood, PA.

Marino, M. Bulger and I think Unitas are all from Pittsburgh, PA. Don't forget Charlie Batch, Bruce Gradkowski and Gus Frerotte. OK, maybe we can forget them, but they're all from Western, PA.

I'm just saying that a lot of people like to take all of the guys from this area and say they're from Pittsburgh. None of the guys I listed are even from Allegheny county.

Yes, Western PA is a far better description of where they are from. While some are from Pittsburgh, most are not.
