That fantasy football is 100% luck. I don't care how good your draft was. The team that wins your league could have Mark Ingram and Terrance West as their starting RBs.

Julius Thomas is like a healthy Gronk.

Good luck picking which Tennesee WR is going to get his.

yes complete luck and inj play a big part in it... u might as well grab all back ups.. they will be starting the way guys dropped like flies today... Brutal... Terrible calls P. harvin whole foot out of bounds they call it a td.... bad refs, totally random scoring.... It's a shi.tty game that we all hope our guys do something... sucky at best.

True, though that's a leap of faith to assume either can stay healthy. By the end of the season it'll be Khiry Robinson's handcuff and Crowell's handcuff heading your team's attack. Just today Charles, RGIII, Moreno, Martin, DJax, and AJ Green fell. Plus a number of guys that were supposed to explode today, like Locker, didn't. And all the experts had the Saints with a good D but they're 0-2; Dallas should've been thumped on the road at TN and instead they did the thumping.

I don't think anyone I follow predicted TN thumping Dallas.
Don't know about you but all I heard this week was that the wheels were coming off in Dallas and that Locker, at home, would shred the Cowboy secondary.

I'll say 90% luck. Maybe 95. Kinda like poker. Get enough good luck and a monkey can win.

Gates did not retire
Yep, I drafted him late and everyone laughed.
I have him in one dynasty league and couldn't get a 3rd round pick for him. That is about to change
I own him in multiple leagues. In one, he's the backup to Graham: I'm wondering what his trade value is right now.
Good question. Like any player who has a good game, there is always a few people out there willing to severely overpay.

People who drafted Cutler as their starting QB by waiting until the 9-11th round in FPC drafts are going to contend unless they just got shafted by all these injuries....

I also learnt that there is at least one guy on suicide watch out there who had the following team starting today .... and maybe had Brandon Marshall on the bench

RG3

Charles

Moreno

Ryan Matthews

D Jackson

AJ Green

Vernon Davis

Seattle Defense

That people get into hyperbole and exaggeration after only a few weeks of fantasy football, with wild statements that are flat out wrong.

1. Denvers defense is average. That really sucks considering the talent.

2. 49ers d is average. Too many issues. No way what happened sun night happens in 2012 or 2013.

3. My poor Bucs not only look ridiculous, but play worse.

4. Awesome awesome week for the Bills and WNY.

5. The pack can thank the refs a little... What a blown call.. there was a lot of bad calls... Again... For the 50th week in a row.

having ADP, RG3, AJ Green and Jamaal Charles.. no beuno
:lmao: :lmao:

Matt Ryan, or any QB for that matter, playing in Cincy: no bueno..

SD is muy bueno.Philip Rivers is just awesome..

Eli is shot, noodle arm and all. Cruz can't catch a cold, let alone a football..

Brownies have something special going on, they look legit..

Jimmy Graham is worth more than anyone not named Peyton Manning..

Asiata is going to continue to put up decent stats with the soft Vikings schedule..

he who best plays the waiver wire, wins..these injuries to big name players are staggering.

by the time Griffin comes back, Kirk Cousins will have made it a full-blown QB controversy...he just looks better in the Redskins' offense..

I would disagree.....fantasy football is part skill and part "thinking with your gut"...... anyone could see that Tate is a major injury risk and Ingram was due for a major uptick and ran angry at the end of last season and in training camp. Conms with age I guess!Of course when I don't look so smart next week.......100% luck.....

I learned:

- buy low on Brady, Justin hunter, Kendall wright, Toby gerhart, Jamal Charles, gronk, vereen, and any other great or potentially great players that had off games or beatable injuries.

- sell high on Lamar miller, Matt Asiata, and any other player who isn't very talented but the general perception is that their situation will make them fantasy gold.

- mark ingram's career resurgence is real. And he could end up as a top 10 Rb this year.

- jordy Nelson was undervalued in drafts. So was Percy harvin.

- bortles and Bridgewater will be starting soon. When they do all skill players in their teams will get a nice bump.

- hold onto Crowell. He will be a factor sooner or later.

- not so much LEARNED, but reminded about how fantasy football is 95% luck and 5% skill.

- Ryan tannehill probably won't ever into much more than a game manager type qb.

- Payton manning is still the best qb in football.

- demaryius thomas is definitely suffering from the loss of decker and welker. He's getting a lot more defensive attention and opening up opportunities for Julius thomas and sanders to look like stars. Good for real football, bad for fantasy.

- the wait on your qb strategy sounds great in theory, but when you are watching your starting qb put up 10-15 points while your opponent has Rodgers, manning, Brees, putting up 25+ pts it really sucks.

- early picks on RBS is absolutely a wasted pick unless you have a top 2 or 3 pick (and a potently not even those this year). RBS bust or get injured at alarming rates. Too wrs, qbs or guys like jimmy graham are much more steady. I learn this every year.

- dairy doesn't agree with me.

If you think having Mark Ingram was 100% luck, you weren't paying attention

What I learned. Dal can be a very good team if they commit to feeding Murray. Murray might actually be the best RB in football right now.

That injuries are a huge part of the game that we as fantasy players sometimes over look. Look at all the guys that went out yesterday: RG3, Green, DJax, Charles, Mathews, Decker, Vernon Davis, Moreno. Those are some big names in the fantasy world. Not all of them might be serious, but it sucks to see that many fantasy relevant guys on the shelf in one week.

Also will learn to not listen to Schefter for injury updates. Benched Marshall yesterday before the 1pm games since Schefter tweeted that both Marshall and Jeffery were highlt doubtful for Sunday night's game. Marshall scored 3 TDs on my bench. Thanks Schefter!

To be fair a 25% chance is significant. And man, I still don't know how Marshall caught 3 TD's looking the way he did. SanFran's DEF was just atrocious.

Rushing yards are still the savior of abominable QB performances. Thanks to his 66 on the ground, Kaepernick was a totally acceptable play despite 4 really bad turnovers.

Also, we learned that everyone is broken, and in turn, so are all your dreams and aspirations.

The Tampa DEF is not very good despite the presence of defensive-minded Lovie Smith. Couldn't do anything against two QBs that have not started a game in years.
