Hipple Long Ware & Peete

I mean he looked really good last year. The staff seemed to believe in his "resurrection" by not drafting a RB save some headcase in the 7th round out of Abilene Christian"? They drafted nothing but help for Benson by spending their early picks on OL/C/TE, and improving their defense (which usually only helps running backs, especially the rb1's). Yet he is Ranked 31 in redraft and 42 dynasty? He's still relatively young, and if his head is right immensely talented? Am I missing something?
Shortly after the Grand Jury failed to indict him on both incidents in Austin, Benson signed a one-year, $520,000 contract with the Cincinnati Bengals on September 30, 2008. The Bengals' roster opened up after running back DeDe Dorsey was placed on injured reserve. He originally backed-up Chris Perry. [1]
, beginning his season in the loss to the Dallas Cowboys, rushing 10 times for 30 yards. Cedric Benson became the starting back for the Bengals for the Week 7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.[2]
Benson rushed 14 times for 52 yards in his first ever career start as a Bengal, and ran over Steelers safety Troy Polamalu during a rushing attempt, giving the pro-bowler a concussion. In the following 35-6 loss to the Houston Texans, he totaled 49 yards on 13 carries and had two receptions for 20 yards. The Bengals picked up their first victory of the season in a 21-19 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. In the win, Benson had 24 carries for 104 yards and a touchdown. Benson hit his stride in the Bengals' three-game winning streak at the end of the season, gashing the Washinton Redskins in week 15 with 161 all purpose yards, including 88 yards receiving (79 of which came on a screen pass). In week 16, Benson dominated the Cleveland Browns, rushing for 171 yards. In the final game of the season against Kansas City, Benson had 130 all-purpose yards, including 111 yards on 25 carries. In the twelve games he was active during the 2008 season, Benson had 932 all-purpose yards, including 747 yards rushing and 185 yards receiving.
A free agent after the 2008 season, Benson visited with the Houston Texans before signing a two-year, $7 million contract with the Bengals on March 3, 2009. [17]
Round: 1 (No. 6 overall)
Player: Andre Smith
College: Alabama
Position: T
Height: 6-4
Weight: 343
Comment: The Bengals addressed a pressing need by adding arguably the best offensive line prospect in the draft. Whether Smith is tabbed to replace the departed Stacy Andrews at right tackle or shift him to the left side if Levi Jones’ health troubles continue remains to be seen but expect him to make an immediate impact.
Round: 2 (No. 38 overall)
Player: Rey Maualuga
College: Southern California
Position: LB
Height: 6-2
Weight: 249
Comment: For the second straight year the Bengals add a USC linebacker to defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer’s arsenal of players. Maualuga was a three-year starter in the middle for the Trojans and a player the USC coaching staff called the “most menacing” linebacker of in the era of coach Pete Carroll. That includes last year’s No. 1 pick, Keith Rivers.
Round: 3a (No. 70 overall)
Player: Michael Johnson
College: Georgia Tech
Position: DE
Height: 6-7
Weight: 266
Comment: Bengals coaches were wowed by Johnson’s physical attributes and the fact that he produced 19 sacks and 30.5 tackles for loss in just 15 career starts in college. They are also determined to get Johnson to produce more consistently as he transitions into the NFL. If they can do that Johnson should help the Bengals improve a pass rush that produced just 17 sacks in 2008.
Round: 3b (No. 98 overall)
Player: Chase Coffman
College: Missouri
Position: TE
Height: 6-6
Weight: 244
Comment: Coffman is coming off a foot injury suffered against Northwestern in the Alamo Bowl but there is no denying the potential impact he could have for Carson Palmer and the offense. Coffman won the Mackey Award last season as college football’s top tight end. He caught 30 touchdown passes in Missouri’s run-and-shoot attack.
Round: 4 (No. 106 overall)
Player: Jonathan Luigs
College: Arkansas
Position: C
Height: 6-4
Weight: 301
Comment: Luigs was named All-American twice and three times he was a finalist for the Rimington Award, emblematic of the nation’s top collegiate center, including winning it as a junior. Blocked for 2008 first-round draft picks Darren McFadden and Felix Jones when the Razorbacks ranked fourth in the nation in rushing, averaging 286.5 yards per game.
Round: 5 (No. 142 overall)
Player: Kevin Huber
College: Cincinnati
Position: P
Height: 6-1
Weight: 221
Comment: Homegrown product who grew up on Cincinnati’s east side, played at McNicholas High School before moving on to the University of Cincinnati. In his two full seasons as the Bearcats’ punter he averaged 45.9 yards per kick and had 47 punts of 50 or more yards. He led the nation in net punting as both a junior and senior, and had just three touchbacks in 60 punts as a senior.
Round: 6a (No. 179 overall)
Player: Morgan Trent
College: Michigan
Position: CB
Height: 6-1
Weight: 193
Comment: Originally recruited to Michigan as a wide receiver, Morgan eventually took over the cornerback spot once occupied by current Bengal Leon Hall. Bengals coaches envision Trent as being capable to play physical bump-and-run style defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer began implementing last season.
Round: 6b (No. 209 overall)
Player: Bernard Scott
College: Abilene Christian
Position: RB
Height: 5-10
Weight: 200
Comment: Rushed for 4,321 yards and 63 touchdowns the last two seasons combined but the 25-year-old comes to Bengals with numerous off-field issues in his past. He was dismissed from his high school team and from Central Arkansas for fighting incidents and has had multiple run-ins with police. He did not play college football in 2005 or 2006 in part due to off-field issues.
Round: 7a (No. 215 overall)
Player: Fui Vakapuna
College: Brigham Young
Position: FB
Height: 5-11
Weight: 244
Comment: Bengals RB coach Jim Anderson worked out Vakapuna during BYU’s pro day in March, where Vakapuna piqued the interest of several teams. Earned BYU’s team award for unselfish devotion, an award named in honor of former Bengals LB Leon White, as a junior.
Round: 7b (No. 249 overall)
Player: Clinton McDonald
College: Memphis
Position: DT
Height: 6-2
Weight: 283
Comment: Voted by teammates to become a permanent captain his junior season. Suffered an ankle injury in the middle of last season that ended a streak of playing in 44 straight games but returned to action and performed well enough to earn a starting spot in the East-West Shrine game.
Round: 7c (No. 252 overall)
Player: Freddie Brown
College: Utah
Position: WR
Height: 6-3
Weight: 215
Comment: Led the undefeated Utes with 77 receptions for 900 yards last season, including career-highs with 12 catches for 125 yards in Utah’s Sugar Bowl win against Alabama. Also grabbed game-winning touchdown catch with 48 seconds left in regulation as Utah rallied to beat TCU, 13-10. Has earned degree in human development and family studies.

I still have faith.
