Wasn't he injured much of last year?he was below mediocre for a team that was practically begging for someone to lineup across from Roddy White ... i really wouldn't be overly excited. Add in the fact that bulger isn't good anymore and all the buzz around him starts to just look like a whole lot of hype.
This is really his first healthy point in the NFL....In ATL he wasn't healthy enough to push for playing time. My .02 is that I think is is going to surprise some people this year. FWIWWell I guess I will keep holt starting.I was going to drop henderson and pickup robinson but i guess i will hold off.sports illustrated is really praising this guy.stating huge sleeper
If you start him in Week#1 you'll be rewarded. 80+ yards and TD!If you are planning on starting him this year, you're in trouble.

You'll be rewarded with a sub-5 point performance.Yes. And rookie the year before.I guess rookie and injury = mediocre to some. Good. He was. I really like Robinson. Think he can surprise for the Rams.Wasn't he injured much of last year?he was below mediocre for a team that was practically begging for someone to lineup across from Roddy White ... i really wouldn't be overly excited. When SJax inevitably gets hurt, i think Robinson will be the #1 option. He's better than Avery IMO.I want to like him since he's from my hometown, but it's hard to get excited about a guy who's going to be the #3 or 4 option on the Rams.
Dunno if he'll be better than Avery, but I really like him. I think the two WRs will compliment each other very well. Avery's speed will open things up for Robinson underneath. When SJax inevitably gets hurt, i think Robinson will be the #1 option. I have to decide between Robinson and Chris Henry. I know most would say henry, but my gut says LRhe was below mediocre for a team that was practically begging for someone to lineup across from Roddy White ... i really wouldn't be overly excited. you obviously didn't watch much falcons ball last year. "below mediocre?" How? lol. The falcons wanted to keep this guy, they just couldnt afford to with the revival of Jenkins (and douglass signed to a big money contract) and the need to resign Roddy White (following the big signing/contract given to michael turner).* NOT a laurent robinson owner (yet- as he is on WW in one league) but definitely keeping an eye on how this game goes...
wtf do i know. None of us knows how he's going to play this year, its all gut before they have a played a game, right?fixedIf you are planning on starting him this year, week 1 you're in trouble.
they really didn't want to. But it was a $$ move (as they needed to resign white/jenkins)Below mediocre?? If the guy stays healthy in TC last year, he's the #2 in ATL. By the time he got healthy, Jenkins finally showed something and kept the job. Robinson was never healthy last year and Douglas showed potential as the slot there to believe Laurent was expendable.Guarantee you ATL regrets dealing Robinson for peanuts now [between how Laurent looked this preseason, Douglas injury/now having to rely on Marty Booker]. Robinson looked terrific this preseason. Plays like he has superglue on his hands. He's closer to the #2 overall option in STL than the #4. Solid reserve WR this season. 55 catches 700 yards 5 TD
wow this season really needs to start....When SJax inevitably gets hurt, i think Robinson will be the #1 option. He's better than Avery IMO.I want to like him since he's from my hometown, but it's hard to get excited about a guy who's going to be the #3 or 4 option on the Rams.
He led the Rams with 10 targets today, dummy. 5-87 isn't a bad start.it's hard to get excited about a guy who's going to be the #3 or 4 option on the Rams.
80 + yards was right. No TD but he looked like the best receiver on the Rams today. Bulger is brutal and that is why I said his upside for the year is limited. I really don't think Bulger will be starting much longer.I stick by my 800+ yards for the season prediction. If you start him in Week#1 you'll be rewarded. 80+ yards and TD!If you are planning on starting him this year, you're in trouble. You'll be rewarded with a sub-5 point performance.
Yea I think he is the prototypical WR. I wouldn't be surprised to see him and Burton as the starters on the outside, and Avery in the slot in the future. If the Rams can get a good young QB they have the makings of a fun offense down the line.:train:Let's get this train rollin'Went from the WW to my WR3 in a couple leagues this week. Are we going to see inconsistency with him? St. Louis seems to be a team that won't be winning many football games this year, and throwing, a lot.
Wasn't there at least some speculation a couple years ago that LRob would likely replace Roddy (but then he was injured)? As impressive of WR as I saw in preseason [next to Ocho]. I'm shocked Atlanta let him go for what they did. I think he's every bit as talented as Roddy. Elite hands, can work underneath or over the top. I think he's still probably a WR3 guy, but it isn't for a lack of talent.----------------He's far more polished than Avery. The only advantage I saw with Avery over Robinson is that he had a year with Bulger already. Donnie's got to improve his route running.
From the reports I read, Robinson did not suffer a devastating knee injury. One play gave him a high ankle sprain, an MCL sprain, and broke his fibula. None of those should impact his ability to perform in 2010 like a torn ACL would. He did have hamstring and knee issues in ATL as well, but none of them were ACLs. The major concern here is can the guy stay on the field? Obviously, ATL felt he couldn't or they wouldn't have traded him. Their suspicions proved correct in 2009. I still think he's a great breakout candidate in 2010. Pretty solid chance STL will take a QB with their top pick. Robinson's ability to stay on the field would be the #1 concern for me.Is Laurent toast at this point, or does he bounce back from yet another devastating knee injury ?He's available in some dynasty leagues right now.
