What does the Eagles off look like w/o Vick (1 Viewer)

It's a fairly accepted fear that Vick may not play a full season. So what happens to the numbers for players like DJackson and Shady if he gets injured?

Can they continue to be #1s at their position or do they fall off the map?

Some consider Vick a sell high, would you consider these 2 a sell high as well?

Seems to me you could target other players that are potentially underperforming while building an "injury safer" team.

Spiller? Richardson? Cam? Demaryius had a down week. I know there are others.

The Chip Kelly offense has 4 or 5 options every snap. With Foles running it, the 'keep it and run' option will be greatly reduced. But during preseason, he looked very decisive and made good decisions while running it. McCoy and D. Jackson easily remain #1's. Foles won't be the stats monster that Vick is, solely because of Vick's rushing yards and touchdowns.

Foles reads a D as good as Vick. I wouldn't expect a huge dropoff with the WR's. Maybe none at all.

Foles may read the defense better than Vick.

But Foles doesn't have Vicks arm and he certainly doesn't have Vicks legs. I'm not the biggest Mike Vick fan, but he's been making some pretty good throws this year. I have no complaints about him.

I couldn't even guess at how the offense would run under Foles.

Foles looks stupid running the offense. He isn't fooling anyone with 52 ball fakes. He has the talent to overcome it, but the defense would be in his face so often that he would never get the time in the pocket that Vick is afforded. I would hope/expect an entirely different gameplan if Foles has to play this season.

He looked just fine running it in preseason. Of course it will change some. No one is pretending that Foles is the athlete Vick is. But Foles has attributes that Vick doesn't have, either. Not all of Oregon's QBs were crazy-athletic specimens like Mike Vick. It's not a requirement for Chip Kelly's offense.

I think we are still learning how it looks with Vick in there, i wouldn't venture to guess how it would look with Foles.
