What happens to Norv when Denver is done with the beatdown? (1 Viewer)

Thoughts, Aside from Merriman being out for the year and a few injuries early on this team was supposed to make a run this year. The D has got walked over, the running game has been suspect. The only bright spot is Phillip Rivers taking the next step.

You think Denver is going to go beat down the Chargers in San Diego? I live in Colorado and don't know more then a couple of Broncos fans that think they even stand a chance on Sunday night of winning down there.

Norv addressed the defensive woes when he got rid of Cottrell. It took a few games, but the defense has been improving - increasing the pressure on QBs and almost doubling the amount of picks for the season in the last four games. And are you blaming Norv for getting Tomlinson injured last year? Also, why would you be coming here to get your news on Norv when A.J. has been saying for more than a month that Turner would be back next year?

The D has got walked over
The only consolation is they're still better than Denver's defense.
:jawdrop: This is correct IMO. Denver has their best CB (Champ Bailey) very hobbled by a groin injury - so much so that Buffalo's Josh Reed set a career high in receptions last week while being covered by Bailey most of the time - and the center/safeties of the secondary are awful. With Rivers on Fire, I see no chance of Denver surviving this game in Qualcomm. SD to the playoffs at 8-8, IMO. In fact, I think they are dangerous in the playoffs and may win 1 before losing in the 2nd round.

Denver has played to their competition all year, playing real well at times and horrible at others. Nothing would surprise me with this game. It will all depend on how many turnovers Denver gives up. 0-1 and they win, more than 1, and they'll lose.

I think Denver getting 8 points is crazy.

I hope Norv stays.
as do I. Norv's typical rate of destruction is 3-4 years. from 14-2 to 7-8 (possible 8-8 or 7-9), by that rate we should see the Chargers in the celler in 1-2 years.

I'm just hoping for a shoot-out (I'm starting Cutler, Marshall & VJax; my opponent has Rivers & Kaeding)

His old job will be waiting for him in San Francisco. If he does get fired, hopefully he realizes that some people are cut out for certain things and weren't meant to be head coaches.

Norv really does deserve to be fired after a blowout like this.
To be fair there were plenty of Charger fans calling for Norv to be fired a month ago. People questioning if they'd be able to beat the raiders at home or not.Looks like the same team to me it's been all season.
