This can apply to any type of league.

As you send trade offers to leaguemates, and this would be in reference to unsolicited trade offers, what percentage of them would you say are accepted?

I think I'm curious, also, if people ever get an offer and say to themselves "That's a good offer. I'm takin' it!" or do they say "That's a good offer but even though it's fair I'm going to try for more."

I've offered 3 trades this year and 1 was accepted. That being said, I still said 0 - 25 percent accepted, because last year I offered about 6 trades and only 1 was accepted. The league I'm in isn't real big on trading.

As far as being fair offers MINE for THEIRS?

Morency for Galloway (accepted) - After Morency's big Monday night game, Galloway was doing nothing, and the Green owner was desperate for a RB...

Holt for Tomlinson (rejected but considered) - Tomlinson owner mentioned that he was considering Brady and DJax for Tomlinson from another owner; I offered up Holt if he was interested. He considered the option, but finally declined and held onto Tomlinson (can't blame him, but I thought I'd try).

This week I offered Droughns to a Browns fan for LJordan (rejected but considered). Both are playing like crap and Lamont is hurt, so the deal seemed fair to me.

I try not to lowball other teams, but definitely look for situations where another owner is in need of a position that I can help him fill.

About the only time I can get a trade to go through is 2 for 1. One teams wants to upgrade, the other needs two starters.

0-25%

Only trade so far this year I dealt Brees, Horn and Kennison for Javon Walker. Brees and Kennison ride my bench so I essentially dealt Horn for Walker (ppr league). Brees, Horn and Kennison will all start on his roster as Kurt Warner, Aaron Brooks, Chris Henry, Larry Fitzgerald are out. I upgraded my #3 WR and he got 3 starters, albeit not too great but better than what he had.

mostly ignored indifference that makes you wonder if they even got the offer. In fairness, this happens from the teams that are less active overall and not coincidentally, not the strongest teams.

75+%, 75+%

I make a lot of trades in my dunasty league and they're always fair. I want everyone I trade with to walk away happy. I think it works out well for me and other owners since I have traded with every team in my dynasty league, many a few times.

I'm much more of a "Daniel Snyder" trader, than a "Used car dealer" trader. I know who I want or what I want, so I go get it. I'd rather give a little more to get the deal done quick, than nickle and dime someone and go back & forth awhile. There is no right or wrong way to trade as long as you are happy with what you get, and mostly, that is works for you.

Great post, except I'm jealous of the "75+%, 75+%". And it was a great point of wanting everyone to be happy. It definitely encourages repeat trading.

I usually don't mind paying for players I want and I think most of the league knows this. OTOH, if I simply want to improve at a position and have a small list of players that I can accomplish that with, I'll take longer, because there's more supply and less need to work with only one team.
