What has happened to Vincent Jackson? (1 Viewer)

Two weeks ago San Diego has 4 touchdowns and Vjax scores 1 (that's uno) fantasy points.

You'd think he'd pick things up last week put has an OK 5 fantasy points at halftime and doesn't score anymore.

He's my number 1 receiver (theoretically) so tough to sit but when you start 3 there's not a lot of options.

He still led the team in receptions last week. The Chargers had no need to pass the ball in the 2nd half of that game. These kind of stretches happen to even the best wrs. I think VJax is still a stud. He's been too consistent for 2 years in a row now for me to be even slightly concerned. Also, Rivers loves him near the red zone.

DC's have finally realized that he's a legit #1. Both he and Miles Austin are seeing #1 coverage and double coverage.

While I'm sure he's getting more attention, Miles Austin is not a good comparison. Jackson has been making hay going deep and in the redzone for several years already. As for the last two games, Rivers only threw 25 and 22 passes. He has only been under 30 attempts one other time this season - against the Raiders. In those three games Jackson was:8-103-1 (12 targets)1-10 (3 targets)4-56 (6 targets)Philly may be an outlier, as Jackson was serviceable to great in the other low passing games. I'm still starting with confidence, though the opportunities may still be few against the Chiefs and Browns.

I think at the end of the year we'll look back on his weekly stats and see a few low numbers here and there but in the end he's going to be good for 1,000+ yards and double-digit TDs.

Outside of guys like Moss, Wayne, Fitz I don't think you can do much better.

But yeah: I miss Week 7-9 Vjax too.

It's my fault. Last year any QB or RB I touched turned to mold. This year it's WRs and TEs. I got VJax two weeks ago. I've gotten 6 points outta him since. Sorry guys.

With LT playing well there's not a need to throw the ball as much as they did before, but VJ just had a couple off games that happen to everyone. He faced two good pass D's in the Eagles and Broncos and has much easier ones coming up. Teams are wising up and trying to prevent the big plays from him, but most don't have the personnel to do it.

yeah, i thought after the game against the eagles perfect chance to 'steal' him in deal with MJD for Peterson. guess i was wrong.

After the Eagles was Champ Bailey and a monster lead. So it really wasn't a shocker in context. I'm not worried personally.

surprised more people don't have opinions on this.
What is there to say? Jackson has been studly this year and should continue to be so over the rest of the season. All WRs, even the best, are gonna have a few down days over the course of a 16-game season, so there is absolutely no reason to panic.
