What is Leon Washington worth? (1 Viewer)

Leon Washington has looked good these last three weeks, however Mangini does not seem to want to name him the starter. Couple that with the fact that Martin has an outside shot of returning, it looks like this might be a good time to move him.

Has anybody traded him or received any offers? If so, what have the deals or offers been?

in a dynasty, i gave Leon Washington and a 2nd rounder for Deshaun Foster (i own Deangelo)...

This very second I got offered Jamal Lewis for Washington straight up. I laughed at it since I traded Jamal to the same guy three weeks ago because he is awful

In my league, 10 team re-draft, I'm seriously considering dropping Lewis for Washington. Shopped Lewis a couple of weeks ago and got no bites.Just don't see any upside for Lewis but definately do for Washington. Can't see Martin having much of an impact this season unless the Jets are in the playoff hunt.Willie

Cedric Houston coming back doesn't help the situation either...

Please people...it was against the Li-downs!
Try to look at the bigger picture. The Jets run lots of no huddle (not hurry-up, just no huddle) to protect Pennington from defensive substitutions. He is the preferred no huddle back, the preferred 2 minute drill back and the preferred third down back. He has 50+ carries for about 280 yards the last three weeks, there is nothing in front of him, and he is productive in both the team's losses and victories.Mangini is going to play his most productive players. I don't see a running back on that roster who is going to be more productive.

We need to give Leon Washington a nick name because that is a long name to keep writing.

"Leo W" was voted on and confirmed earlier today.

I still can't believe I picked him up of the WW 4 weeks ago! I owe it all to this forum. I played him this past week as my flex and it was great! I need him this week as my RB2 as KJ's on bye.

Back to the topic at hand, I would have a hard time NOT asking a lot for him. I don't see Martin as a threat. It's sounding more and more every day like he will announce his retirement next week. Barlow will continue to get 5 to 10 touches a week. Houston could take a bite out too. But, I think at the worst Leon gets 50% of the carries and Barlow/Houston split the other 50%. Not too bad for a flex considering the schedule down the stretch. I would probably give him up for someone like Droughns, Lamont Jordan, Corey Dillon or Ahman Green. But, I don't see that happening in my league.

If I had him I'd try to move him to a desperate team on the brink. IMO, with Houston coming back, its going to be RBBC which will limit LW. He'll be worth a spot RB2 start once this happens, but not much more IMO.

i've been trying to get a decent WR for him this week but no takers. i guess i'm higher on him than most.

I think people are dramatically overestimating Cedric Houston's future impact. He has carried the ball for less than 15 times this year. He is a 6th round pick not selected by Mangini who averages half a yard per carry less than Washington this year, and 3.8 YPC for his career. He also happens to be worse in pass protection than a 5'8" rookie, does not catch the ball well, and averages less than 6 YPR when he catches the all too infrequent pass.

People are expecting him to come back from injury, play better than he ever has in his career, and limit the opportunitities of a more productive higher rated/drafted player selected by the new staff. I just don't see it.

16 team keeper, I just traded him for a 2nd round pick in 07. He was my #5 RB so I considered it a good deal.

In 6-keeper league, I offered him for Todd Heap straight up.

My TE is Witten and my RBs are L.Johnson, R.Johnson (keepers from last year), Chestor Taylor, and Marion Barber

I was offered Leon and next year's 2nd rounder for Osi Umenyiora in a dynasty IDP league. I turned it down, just to see Osi get hurt Sunday. I should see if the guy is still interested.

Would love to hear more about Dynasty trades inlvovling Leon.
I offered Leon for Braylon today to a RB-desperate team (starting Kevin Faulk for the second straight week) that is otherwise a playoff contender. Not expecting a bite, and I'll have to decide if I want his next-best young WR (Troy Williamson) if countered.

I picked up LEON a couple weeks ago due to some good press he was getting in these forums... thanks again guys...

Anyhow I have a Dynasty league and am expecting to use my player excemption (which will add years to his contract) on him... hopefully he will end up being something good for a couple years as I am desperately needing help in the RB area.

I am waiting for a deal of Leon for Stallworth to be accepted. The other owner said he would accept a couple of days ago.

this kid looks good to me vs anyone and is the most productive back on team. i am dropping foster for him today since noone will give me anything for foster and deshawn looks like #### on a stick

Why trade him? The kid has nothing but upside. I'm sure everyone picked him up off WW, why not hold on and see what else "LIL W" can do for your team. He's been to productive when given a chance and is a product of the coaching staff to a team that has not been good drafting talent. Which RB do you think the J.E.T.S. FANS are cheering for???

:goodposting: you can tell just by this thread that his value is all over the place in different leagues, he was like a week 2 or 3 WW pick up for me, so I'm holding strong right now.....

I picked him up last week and I wouldn't consider trading him right now. He hasn't been doing it long enough to get the value he may deserve in the future.

I'm actually considering giving him the start this week against the shaky Browns' run defense. Of course, I'd have to bench Thomas Jones against the shaky Niners run defense.

I'd say hold onto him and see how the running back situation developes in New York. If he becomes a 25 carry/game guy, you may just have yourself a very nice RB2.

I rented him as a bye week filler but didn't make it permanent--to do that would mean dropping Thomas Jones for him and I just can't seem to pull that trigger. Debating that question again this week if he actually falls to me on the waiver wire tonight. That SF matchup shooooor looks good right now!

I was offered RB Micheal Turner...rejected it
:lmao: . . . At least I hope so . . .
Have you seen Turner in the last few games???? Neither has anyone else.Turner is 1.5 years away from being a starting NFL RB. As a back-up his only value is as a handcuff to LT (who I have)There is no point giving up a productive RB for a handcuff
Sorry, I was thinking like a dynasty owner. In redraft your rejection makes sense.

I drafted him for my dynasty team. A team that has had a lot of bad luck and poor decisions.Anyway, I can't see trading him for anything right now unless I get blown away with an offer. It's almost like a perfect storm. New coaching staff. Retiring HOFer taking him under his wing. New offensive line in front of him starting to get better and better. Before the season started it looked like the Jets were going to be in the Adrian Peterson sweepstakes. Could you imagine instead of a top 5 pick, they have a Teener pick and take ANOTHER stud offensive lineman? They will start looking like the 90's cowboys.Oh yeah...I'm a Jet's homer. And I vote for leon.(lower case L is on purpose...because he's so small...get it? It's funny.)

I am offering Leon and J Cotchery for Don Driver right now. I'm already getting a bit of sellers remorse and the deal hasn't even been accepted.

I may pull the deal off the table and wait in the hopes of a blow-up this week and try to get more or move him straight up.

ETA - Just had a conversation with the Chambers owner and I may be able to wait a week and get Chambers straight up and hope that Chris' move to the slot lets him blow-up.

Just got offered Laurence Maroney and Reggie Williams for Leon and Chad Johnson.

Now I am a Jet's homer...but I'm thinking no on this.

I traded Leon, Jordan and Troy Williamson for Randy Moss, and Deshaun Foster. Mostly it was Leon he wanted, not Jordan.

Does everyone expect Leon to keep it going vs. Cleveland this week or come down to Earth?

Also, anybody have a take on his 15/16 sked, road games at Min & Mia?
