What is the top fantasy team based on NCAA Conferences? (1 Viewer)

Now that college football is in full swing I keep hearing the argument about which conference is the best. Well, here's a different way to look at it. (I probably overlooked some players so feel free to edit).

The ACC looks strong

QB Philip Rivers

WR Andre Johnson

WR Calvin Johnson

WR Reggie Wayne

RB Frank Gore

RB Clinton Portis

TE Jeremy Shockey

As does the Pac-10 (surprisingly none of these guys are from USC)

QB Aaron Rodgers

WR Chad Ocho Cinco

WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh

WR Desean Jackson

RB Maurice Jones Drew

RB Steven Jackson/Marshawn Lynch

TE Tony Gonzalez

Another shocker is how strong Conference USA is

QB Brett Favre

WR Randy Moss

WR Roddy White

WR Brandon Marshall

RB DeAngelo Williams/Matt Forte/Chris Johnson

RB DeAngelo Williams/Matt Forte/Chris Johnson

TE ?

The other conferences look decent but these are probably the top 3.

Let's see the SEC ...

QB - Peyton Manning/Jay Cutler/Eli Manning

WR - Dwayne Bowe

WR - Hines Ward

WR - Devery Henderson/Earl Bennett/Percy Harvin

RB - Joseph Addai/Ronnie Brown/Cadillac Williams

RB - Darren McFadden/Knowshon Moreno

TE - Jason Witten

You can make a pretty good Big Ten

QB

D. Brees/T. Brady

RB

Marion Barber

P. Thomas

L. Johnson

B. Wells

WR

Santonio Holmes

B. Edwards

M. Manningham

A. Gonzalez

TE

Dallas Clark

If you really want to track....make teams the top 2 QB's, Top 4 WR's, Top 4 RB, Top 2 TE's from each conference....Take the top QB, 2WR, 2 RB, TE for each week and score them. See who wins

Could make argument that Shockey is 2nd or 3rd best fantasy TE from his own college team, much less his conference. ACC Fantasy TE = Greg Olsen. As a U homer, love the representation on that ACC team, though.

Mid American Conference

QB: B. Roethlisberger

RB: M. Turner

RB: C. Taylor

WR: R. Moss

WR: G. Jennings

TE: A. Gates

W/R: K. Walter

Unless better players are found.....

Week 1...

1. Big 10 - 98

2. ACC - 86

3. SEC - 77

4. PAC 10 - 68

5. Conf USA - 50

Alot of those Miami players didn't play in the ACC, they played for Miami back in its Big East days. Same with Randy Moss, he played for Marshall in the MAC not Conference USA.

Was going to post this. All those Miami players should still be credited to the Big East because they never played a down of ACC football.

Was the U even an ACC school while all these players were there?ETA: I see some one already started discussing this.

There are probably some college teams that could easily destroy that squad.
