What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (4 Viewers)

Hardywood Park Gingerbread Stout. :banned:
Been reading nothing but good things about this beer.
whatever they said is true. hard to get as well. the last bottling run sold out in 42 minutes. I almost felt guilty standing at the bar drinking one of their bourbon pumpkin farmhouse ales, clutching my 4 pack of GB Stout while person after person came in hoping to score a bottle only to be denied. they also did a bourbon barrel gb stout (which they say is even better) but I decided against fighting that crowd.
I didn't get a phone call..... :kicksrock:
:mellow:Uh...my phone rebooted and I lost everything. Yeah, that's the ticket. True story but of course the googs save the contacts. Don't have yours though. If you didn't get any I still have some. :) You try COTU *new place in Ashland) yet? Pretty good stuff.

Why does 13% beer seems like it's A LOT stronger than drinking 13% wine?

I drank a full bottle of the RevBrew StraightJacket on Friday night and it wrecked me for most of the weekend. Of course I also had a six pack of Celebration on top of it, but still.....

I still have a 2011 GBS. COTU is only 3 miles from my house, I've probably been there when you were at some point.

Thinking I'll break out a 2010 Berserker, Rochefort 10, and Jacobins Rouge tonight. Maybe bring an emergency Breakfast Stout in case I need more beer after those 3.

:banned: happy holidays to everyone!

 possibly. I was there several days in a row when they released pocahoptas. We should have a beer there some time and I'll bring you a bottle of GB stout.

I just had the Jacobins for the first time this week, what a great beer. I have a 2010 Samichlaus, Clown Shoes Genghis Pecan Pie Porter and Bells Christmas. Happy Holidays to everyone. Thanks to everyone that has provided me beer tips through the years. Happy drinking.

Lagunitas Sucks and now 2011 Bourbon County Coffee Stout. As people have mentioned, the coffee has subsided quite a bit yet I still like it a lot. I just prefer coffee-heavy stouts.

Lagunitas Sucks is sooooo good.

Just cracked my 3rd Founders Red Rye Ale, perhaps the best red I've had.
One of my favorites when it's fresh. Can only 4 or 5 month old Red's Rye here in Chicago. Pretty disappointing.
Ryes are probably my current favorite style. that one is good. Knocked back a few Blue Point Rastafa Rye over the weekend, which were great. If anyone can get their hands on Dock Street's Rye IPA (Philadelphia), I highly recommend it.

Anyone ever try any of the Bocks from the German Holsten brewery? Local liquor store picked some up, and at $2.50 for a 500ml can of 7% beer, that's probably the best dollar value per ABV the store has.

Celebration, then Capital Dark Doppelbock. Some Hoppin Frog DORIS later. I've had it for awhile, sure the hops have faded but I'm interested to see what it's like now.

Spotted Cow...nice way to watch the Packers after importing a bit from a trip to Wisconsin this past week (along with a 30 pack of PBR light...suck it snobs).

Has anyone notice Sam Adams Boston Lager has tasted different, in a bad way, over the past month or so? I've bought several packs over time so its not just one bad batch.Switched to Dos Equis Ambar

2 Shorts Chocolate Wheat, one 22 os Capital Brewery Eternal Flame and now on to a Dark Horse Tres Blueberry. Contemplating drinking a bottle of Sprecher R&D Bourbon Barrel Hard Root Beer. May just hold out for a later date.
