What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (3 Viewers)

Green Flash Brewing Co. - West Coast IPA

Picked up a six pack at bevmo on a whim. I am suprised that it is as good as it is. This is a really good IPA.
Never even heard of it. Gotta love undiscovered brews that surprise. Currently drinking Left Hand Impy stout from the potsie collection. So freaking smooth it's scary. Nice way to finish off a damned fine day - Father's Day party at daycare, which followed a company picnic, which followed 18 holes of golf at my favorite local course where I sunk a 105 yard wedge for an eagle on #5.
Nice, I have one of the Left Hand Imps in my fridge.

 Really like this one - not immense in any one area, just really well-balanced and EXTREMELY tasty.

Jolly Pumpkin Biere de Mars. One of the only JP's I haven't yet tried...I can't wait.

And of course, thanks to Wingnut for making it possible.

I'm going with Deschutes Obsidian Stout. My palate is effed up so I'm not gonna waste #100 on something I can't rate properly.

If you are referring to the Oak Aged 10th Anniversary Imperial Stout I sent you they are retired, FYI. Enjoy it as they will become scarce.

Last night I bought a 6-pack of the Sam Adams Brewmaster Collection consisting of Black Lager, Hefeweizen and Brown Ale. I had both the Black Lager and the Brown Ale. Both were very good beers. Lot's of flavor, especially the Black Lager which I previously had not heard of.

I have heard mostly good things about the black lager. Unfortunately, I think the only way you can get it is in the sampler packs.

Beatification available at Russian River brewing website for shipment!
Saw this yesterday afternoon. Certainly not cheap, but I will probably have to order some.
I just did. 3 of each batch of Beatification. Had to do it quick so it didn't sink in what I just paid for a freakin' 6-pack.Had to have it shipped to a buddy's house in IL, because IN won't allow beer shipments. :hot:

(And no, Nuke, it's not you. Sorry.)

I bought a sixer of the black in a local grocery store, but maybe that's regional. You know, Fort Wayne being such a hotbed of good beer  . Very good schwarzbier. I think better (or at least truer to style) than Sprecher Black Bavarian.

Maybe that was last year. I don't tend to pay much attention to the Sam Adams section at the beer store to be honest. I might have to grab a 6 of this sometime.

nice doing business with you.
Pretty sure thats the last beer I have left from our trades.
nicei still haven't tussled with the Alesmith or the Stone. kinda holding on to them. waiting for company to help out.
Which Alesmith did I send you? Grand Cru?
I got a bottle of that in my Liquid Solutions order. Can't wait to try it. Might wait and try it head to head with the Town Hall Grand Cru though.

I ordered two of each Here's the comments on the two beers

Made a little road trip today to drop off some entries for the Indiana State Fair homebrew competition. While there, picked up the following:

Jolly Pumpkin - Luciernaga Belgian Pale

Stone RIS

Stone Vertical Epic 05.05.05

Great Divide Hercules DIPA

Great Divide Yeti Oak Aged RIS

Rogue Morimoto Black Soba Ale

Founder's Red's Rye IPA

3 Floyds Rabbid Rabbit Saison

Also talked to a guy who knows another guy who may be getting me a bottle of 3F Darklord

Not going to have it yet, but I just picked up a couple of bombers of Southampton Doublw White and a 6 pack of Victory St. Boisterous. Looking forward to both.

Hey, quick question. Is it impolite to take your own beer to a party you were invited to? I have a friend who is having a party and will likely have Corona and Bud Light.

 I do it all the time. No one seems to mind.

i'd say bring it up with the Alstrom's but they'd either ignore you or ban you.
Ban is more likely.
 I've asked them tons of questions in the past. Sometimes, like today and two weeks before/after for example, there's no way they'll get back to anyone. I've met them many times in person (worked a few fests) and they're both good guys. They run that site very strictly as they're trying to develop a brand/name/market image for essentially being one of the leading voices of the craft beer movement, and tolerate even less BS than Joe does for that reason.
