What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (5 Viewers)

I lost count on the Hoegaarden, plus several large cans of Strongbow hard cider, champagne and some sort of fish paralyzer.

I'll take stock of my liver in the morning.

Shiner 97 Bohemian Black Lager

Just now starting to learn beers, so I will stick with the Texas beers I know until I can branch out.
:goodposting: Welcome to the sickness.
Thanks GB. Without sounding like a complete newbie, is there a good site or two to "study" up on?
What? You mean besides this one?? ;) For an idea about how others rate the beers they drink, check out ratebeer.com. Original name, eh? It might also help you find some local Texas brews you didn't know existed (Use the Advanced Search on the top of the page). Lots of good beer down there...

Alesmith IPA
I came back from Portland for NYE with a couple of these, along with some yulesmith, wee heavy, and numbskull. Trying to figure out which to sacrifice first. :banned:
Yulesmith is :moneybag: I would try the Yulesmith, and IPA. I would age the other two.
I'm really, really bad at aging really good beer I've never tried. I need to start buying twice as much of the cellarable beer.
I'm right there with you, man. I try to do the exact same thing when it comes to aging brew. I am rarely patient enough to age one without trying it.

The Wee Heavy drinks really nice fresh. I'm not actually a fan with a lot of age on it.

Skylord isn't a fan of Cars sippy cup use for brews either. :lmao:

This thread is the greatest thread in the history of the internet. Just got a bottle of Schafly imperial reserve, have Speedway and Older Vis in the mail, and a crapload of alesmith I wouldn't have known about before this and TBS. Historically awesome stuff going on in here.
