What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (5 Viewers)

Been gone a while....Tonight, Otter Creek Pale Ale
 buddy.
Spent 7 weeks in Texas, where it is pretty much all Shiner, all the time...Soon it will be 6 months in Afghanistan, where it will be no beer, none of the time....
 We gotta get together for a beer before you go. First one's on me. (I still owe you $7  )Legend Hefeweizen. Good, but doesn't seem as good as in the past. Maybe it's just me. More spicy than fruity.

Trader Joes Vintage Ale 2007 (Brewed by Unibroue)

malty, fruity, spicy, yeasty, 9%

In other words, very good, and 750ml bottle

I gave that Miller Chill a chance, and it's like a slightly sweeter cousin of the Rolling Rock family.

Didn't dig it.

They were selling it next to a Margaritaville Brew called LandShark....anybody try that? (I will now commence using the search function)

LandShark Lager...surprisingly pretty good...very American Budweiser genre but more refined, tad bit more alcohol...I think they brew it at Margarytiville in Jax, FL.
Thanks for the review MOP.
I stated earlier that my trip to Texas was all Shiner, all the time. Well, not entirely. I did try a couple of the Landshark Lagers. Not bad. Smooth, and easy to drink, but not terribly exciting.I think it is meant to be the Florida/Island version of Corona. If not obvious by the name of the beer and brewery, this is a product of the Jimmy Buffett empire.

"In 2006, Buffett launched a cooperative project with the Anheuser-Busch brewing company to produce his own beer under the Margaritaville Brewing label called Land Shark Lager. The label of the beer bottle features a shark fin."

It is passable, and will definitely be a hit with the Parrotheads.

DFH 90 minute
A liquor store by me always has the 60, so I usually have that. Once in a while, they'll have the 90 and whenever they do, I stock up.Is there a better IPA out there than DFH?I've been looking and I am having a really hard time finding one.

60 Minute is good but there are a lot out there that are as good or better. depends on where you live and what's available to you i guess.

I'm partial to Harpoon IPA, but its only regionally available in the NE. Stone IPA is on par, but I wouldn't say better.Breckenridge 471 small batch is one I'd recommend, also.

Thanks Hack. You're a Chicago guy. Got a good place to track these down? Always hear Binny's is great, but there's not one real close to home but there's one in the city not too far from where I work (West Loop).

I'm this close to jumping off the wagon. Might start smoking some bud as well.
PM me your address, I'll send you some beer worth drinking

Not really saying you're wrong. We all have our preferences. A lot of people love DFH 90 for example. I think it's good, but there's a pretty long list of beers I'd rather have.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

Real Ale Devil's Backbone

Stone IPA

Coors Light (some chick in tight pants forced it upon me)

Stone Arrogant *******

Live Oak Pils
