What should the Bears do on offense week 6? (1 Viewer)

Punt every time they get the ball. That would conserve the game clock and ensure that Seattle would punt about 20 times. Odds dictate Hester returns 1 or 2 of those for TD's. If the Chicago D does it's job that's a win.

4 INT and 30 passing yards can't cut in 2 weeks in a row.....can it?
Nope. Regardless of opponent, they should be running the ball a lot, given how good their defense is, but Martz's stubborn refusal to adjust probably won't allow it. With Cutler coming back, the smart thing to do would be to ease him back in with a lot of rushing plays, but I wouldn't count on it.

Beat me to it. Isn't that how they sent Denny Green into legendary status?

Hanie would be fine. I do think Jay will play though. Why the Bears forced Collins down our throat, I'll never understand. You play the Vets to avoid mistakes, yet they stuck with him for almost 3 full quarters.

I really think Hanie has the potential to be a very good QB one day.

This. Agree that Hanie is a kid with moxie and that alone makes him a better choice than the walking corpse Tom Collins. I think Cutler will play though.

Caleb Hanie has reportedly bypassed Todd Collins as the Bears' No. 2 quarterback.

Collins gave them no other choice with his performance against the Panthers. The 38-year-old became just the fifth quarterback in the last 20 years to throw four interceptions without a touchdown in a game his team won. If Jay Cutler (concussion) encounters a setback this week, Hanie will start against Seattle. Collins isn't long for the Bears' roster.
