What the heck happened to Rashad Jennings? (1 Viewer)

I mentioned this in EBF's thread were he had him ranked ahead of of both Stafford, Sanchez, and Britt. He looked slow on film running against weak competition.

Hmm, Jennings in JAX might actually be the ideal place for him. Jax likes the RBBC approach, so this could be one of the better scenarios for the 250th pick....

Yea, I haven't scouted him with any depth myself, but in the "highlights" ESPN showed when Jax picked him he looked slowish. No way Jax uses him in a meaningful committee. Straight backup that might get a handful of touches to give MJD a breather.Frankly, I like Greg Jones better.ETA: Still a great 7th round pick. Could become a capable backup.

I just have to ask because he lasted so long in the draft, is he better than Chauncey Washington whom the Jags drafted in the 7th round last year?Christopher

To be fair, he wasn't on either of my first two initial lists at all. I added him to the final list because everything I was hearing said he had a chance to be a 3rd-4th round pick. Don't know why the info was so bad. Maybe there's a medical issue there that wasn't disclosed. :hifive:

i was one that thought you were missing the boat on him...was wrong this time. my bad

this has steal potential because of the straight ahead power run game the Jags hope to get back to this year..

he maybe doesn't have all the power of Brandon Jacobs.. but he is a strong runner.. not blazing speed..

the upright running style seems to be the one thing most throw out.. but he'll get an opportunity.. how much of one will obviously depend on how Washington does in his second season.. I do know this as well.. Greg Jones supposedly has lost weight and may be the overall sleeper here.. but Jennings is definitely one to keep an eye on!!!

;)

bump...any Jag fans have an idea of how Jennings will be used this year? Is he in line for backup RB carries/touches? What kind of a back is he?
