What to expect from R Bush this week? (1 Viewer)

Can we expect more touches for Reggie this week or does the poor showing from last week mean a small role?? J Jones gettign the majority of carries was surprising to me...

He looked really out of sync on Turkey Day. With news of PT coming back, there are suddenly a ton of mouths to feed in that backfield. I have to think Reggie is odd man out at this point.

He was embarassingly horrible last week. First target hit him in the facemask without him seeing it... He was way out of sync coming off his injury, he is a gamer, he will do better, but you can count on a TD from him as anyone on the saints. His normal boom-bust potential should be back.

I want to plug him in at my flex in PPR but his touch count is still too risky right now. I think his involvement will increase in the next few weeks and he should be an option in PPR by week 14 or 15 but for now I will take the wait and see approach.

I think he gets about twice what he got last week. 3 or 4 carries, and 4-6 targets. A couple opportunities inside the 10. Line will likely be 3 carries for 20, 3 catches for 30. A decent chance for a TD (or two) on limited opportunities. Only real chance for a big yardage day is if he breaks one of his limited touches for a big gain. The caveat here is he'll be on the field for a least a third of the offensive snaps, and if the Bengals don't focus on him and he gets matched up on LBs, brees will punish them for it and he could have a big day.

I guess I will believe Bush becomes fantasy relevant when I see it. An nominal increase in touches still makes him a risky start. I don't own him, but am monitoring this situation as I own both Lance Moore and Chris Ivory.

Ivory has tumbled down the latest Dodd's RB rankings, from the early week cheatsheets. I wonder if it has to do with the threat of Bush's expanded role, or Pierre Thomas GTD or both. My gut says it's all smokescreen. PT will likely sit, and Bush will get 4 carries and 3 or 4 catches. But if Thomas plays on Sunday, the touches could be split 3 ways and diminish everyone's value. I have Ivory in my lineup because the GL touches are there. But this may be a situation to avoid till it clears up.
