Week 1 in the books. Here are a few of my takes.
People that are over reacting after one game aren't giving credit to how good (or poor) the opponent was.
Steelers couldn't beat the Browns. Don't blame the lack of Bell. Conner played well filling in.
CLE is a team with loads of talent. New QB, WR's, tough defense. They aren't going to be the easy out that they've been in previous years.
Steelers should have won regardless. Ben had his annual turd game (probably because I started him in a daily league). Got it out of the way early this year. ... and a missed FG in OT.
OAK struggles, everyone wants to blame Gruden / Mack trade ...
my take, Rams are more of a powerhouse than last season. They will make most teams look bad this year.
Lions are bad. OK, gotta agree. New coach is over his head, QB tipping plays, defense is Swiss cheese.
but, ... Jets are legit. They had a tough defense last year and this year have the QB to make them formidable.
DET fans need to understand they didn't lose to an awful team.
Rumor was Saints defense would be new and improved this year. Aaaah, not so much.
Someone in my 12 team league actually drafted NOS D and started them against my team this week ... to the tune of (-4.0) points.
Sean Payton is a defensive minded coach? Wouldn't know it from the product we saw Sunday. Maybe caught off guard by the antics of bu QB Fitz.
TB is solid. Defense struggled a bit this week but most will vs Brees at home being down by 2 scores.
Ravens looked really good ... against a really bad Bills team. Bills starting Peterson are obviously tanking for the #1 pick next year.
Ravens fans beware. Things will get much tougher starting tonight.
Falcons still look bad on offense ... but I'm probably not giving the PHI defense enough credit.
Matty Ice just looks bad. I don't think they can get back to SB form without the OC that they lost.
Cowboys offense looked bad. Use to be the best O-line in the league. I got nuttin here.
