What will P. Manning look like in week 13? (1 Viewer)

This is the last week before the playoffs and if you are like me, it IS a playoff. My week 12 had my #1 studs underperforming: P. Manning, KC Def. Is P. Manning's performance in NE, related to the cold, or was there something deeper? His O-line hasn't provided much protection and he was getting beat up before moving to a run heavy offense. Do you anticipate Manning playing like he did in NE? Is KC going to fold like they did against SD? Would you start J. McCown going against the hapless Vikings instead?

The fact that Denver's run game and defense have drastically improved recently makes it difficult to determine how the game script will play out.

For a while there it appeared that every game was going to be a 35-42 type of shootout

The type of guy who takes a bite of a slice and then hands it to you instead of giving you a whole slice. Can't be trusted, imo.

Number 1 QB overall in points by a longshot who has a chance to make history at the position this year, and after 2 games of average play he can't be trusted. Unreal.

No Hali + no Houston for Chiefs = big game for Peyton

I expect first half of the season numbers out of him this week

He will look kinda tall, big forehead, lunky... kinda like frankenstein
the middle of the forehead will have a large, inflamed red mark on it throughout the game as a result of a front helmet pad being adjusted too tightly. This will be in the center of your TV screen at least 40 times during the broadcast.

But does he look like a b!*#%??

KC's Defense struggled to get to Manning two weeks ago, and they are hurting coming into this week. With Moreno dinged up and possibly out this week, I anticipate we will see Denver rely less upon the running game than they did last week. Much of that was a product of what Bill Belichick threw at Denver defensively.

KC is playing for pride as well as a playoff seed, but this is the same KC D that gave up almost 400 passing yards and 3 TDs to Philip Rivers last week.

Looking back at his stretch run last season, Manning played fine in cold weather. Manning is chasing records this season in addition to positioning his team for home field throughout the playoffs and an opportunity to cement his status as one of the greatest to ever play the game. He is a definite start this week, and every week. There is no way you sit him for anyone, especially the likes of McCown. So you took your lumps last week starting Manning (although he still threw 2 TDs). Accept that sometimes even superstars will post less than stellar weeks. Count yourself fortunate to have Peyton Manning this season, start him with confidence every week and focus your energies on other positions on your team.
