I am in a 12 team league. This year we decided to change some things up to 'spicen' up the league a bit. We have been a 1 keeper league for 3 or 4 years with a snake order draft. This year we are allowed to keep 3 players, they can not be in the same round, and we lose a pick in the round that the player is assigned based on their pre-ranking.

We forgot to discuss one major point which is now up for discussion. Should we continue with the Snake order draft or do a 'straight' order draft?

Thanks for your help and opinions...

Until you're keeping about 1/2 a roster, I prefer snake drafts. This is a modified redraft format, and each team should be given a "fair" opportunity to draft a contending team. I haven't played with a 3RR yet, which is designed to further balance the draft.By the time you get to 1/2 roster keepers on through dynasty, I prefer a straight draft, because at that point you're playing not just for this year but future years, and the straight draft tries to balance the weaker teams to keep competitive balance.
