12 man .5 PPR Keeper/Dynasty league; with pretty standard scoring after that with starters consisting of QB, 2 RB, 3WR, Fl, TE, D/ST.  Keep 11 players....current roster is in shambles for the 4th year in a row....now sit at 2-5 and I feel like everything I do now is a huge mistake and I just keep losing year after year.....feel lost and about to just hang it up for Fantasy Football as the fun is gone when you constantly lose year after year.....thought I built a solid roster, but apparently it's not strong at all.  Thoughts on areas to improve, guys to dump, guys to keep, or have I lost my mind and it's a decent roster and I just continue to suffer from the worst FF luck ever.  Appreciate all helpful comments.

Roster:

QB: Wentz, Rivers,

RB: CJ Anderson, D Martin, L Miller, A Kamara, C Carson,

WR: Dez, Diggs, B Cooks, D Thomas, J Doctson, R Anderson

TE: Olsen and ASJ

D/ST: Min & Det

As you can see I do have more injuries again this year, but no real studs that have big weeks to help or haven't since Week 2 when I last one a match.  Also, it's damn tough to make any trades in this leagues unless you are willing to give up the world to get a player....don't get to follow much college ball, so not sure if there are studs at RB or WR that can help me coming out of next years draft....anyway, extremely frustrated and looking for help

Wentz is a fine QB, young and only going to keep improving.  You're good there.
Kamara is up and coming especially in PPR.  Martin is solid but unspectacular.  Miller and Anderson are both JAGs.  Would look to draft RB in the rookie draft.
Cooks will continue to improve, but who knows how long Brady will play.  Diggs should benefit from either Teddy returning, or Bradford getting healthy.  Rotating between 2/3 QBs and a groin issue have him struggling. Thomas is struggling from poor QB play, he's very similar to Diggs.  Dez is hard to figure out.  Probably only a WR2 for you, with a WR1 week here and there but too unreliable to be a stud.
Olsen is one of the most consistent top 5 TEs in the league...just bad luck on injury there.  ASJ is carving himself a nice role in the Jets offense though and should be a fairly safe dependable (but not spectacular) fill in.

Hard to turn a bad team into a winner in a short amount of time in a league that keeps so many players.  I'd see if anyone in the league would be willing to give you a draft pick (or a swap of late to mid picks) for Anderson, Miller, or Thomas, otherwise just focus on trying to find value in the draft next year.

For this year you got some pretty bad luck. Overall I like the roster. Folks get hung up on the OBJ or Zeke, but a roster of consistent scorers will carry you farther than a stud in one category. You can make it to the championship without a single top 5 player in any category, but a roster full of top 5 and top 20. A few years ago if I could have had a roster of Frank Gores, scoring 10 points every game, never more or less I would have been happy as a clam.

Sometimes you have to start thinking long term in the middle of a season. If it helps you have more fun in the league, scheme how to dominate the rookie draft. The more first round picks you can acquire the more leverage in the offseason. If you can get two or three firsts in 2018, maybe you only take two players and trade the last first for a 2019. you work to assure that you have multiple first round picks in as many future years as possible. Think out to 2019 and beyond.

I'm not saying your season is done, there is a lot of football to be played and injuries can change everything. But folks are concerned with players now and not picks. Picks are always at a premium in the offseason, so if you could move a player now or in the coming weeks for high picks you can trade the picks in the offseason for a premium. Look to target teams trying to make the playoffs or plug an injury hole before the playoffs.

2018 first rounders are hard to predict now, but typically outside of the first round picks,  players are a crap shoot. If you can get 1.01 to 1.05 you stand a much much better chance of landing a keeper than a dud.

Wentz, Kamara, Miller, CJ Anderson, Martin, Diggs, Cooks, Thomas, Doctson, Dez, Olsen - That's a nice roster for next season. Deal Carson. R Anderson and ASJ both have potential and there are good arguments for keeping one or the other, but not both.

If you wanted to make moves for this year from your keeper roster I would suggest Martin, CJ Anderson and Dez.
