What would you trade to accquire Gado? (1 Viewer)

Obviously, the answer depends upon what you think will happen in coming weeks, and is now worth more to the Lundy owner than any other owner. What is the market for trading Gado away?

I have a used 66 Corvair I could trade. :) It doesn't run but I'm not sure Gado will either.

In GB he struggled mightily with the zone system. Now Sherman may have some way around this, but I doubt if he'll be more than a 3rd down back for now.

Leave him sitting on the waiver wire???
That's exactly what I did last night, as did the rest of the league. It's a 10 man league with only 15 roster spots so there are generally some decent options sitting in the FA pool but my point is that people tend to get carried away sometimes and trading away too much value for someone like Gado is a good example. He's a so-so talent playing for a VERY BAD team and will most likely be part of a RBBC with Lundy. I thought about picking him up and I'm sure someone, maybe me, will eventually. But as far as who I'd actually trade for him, probably a fringe WR4 type like Jenkins or Reggie Brown at this point.

"Fantasy Bust" Larry Johnson. As soon as Trent Green went down, the threads in the shark pool starting going "worst fantasy bust ever" "waste of a pick". Now he's got the label, and he's poison to all who touch him. I'm praying the Gado owner in my league hasn't been keeping up.

It's not PC to say, but I still think Ron Dayne could factor into the Texans' RB situation before all is said and done.

So Gado is just motivation to get Ron Dayne to step up.
No, just that Kubiak grabbed Dayne the very next day after the Broncos cut him, and has indicated that Dayne will get an increased workload. If Dayne were truly worthless, I don't think Kubiak would have gone near him.Not saying Dayne is going to do anything there, but I wouldn't summarily dismiss him either.

FWIW, I did pick up Gado off the waiver in the one of my 5 leagues he happens to be available in, but can't see trading a whole lot of anything to get him in my other leagues. Of course, he is still one ( or two) injuries away from being "the man" in houston

This situation reminds me of the old parable: Gato doesnt have to run faster than the Bears, he just has to run faster than Walli Lundy.

I picked him up of the WW dropping TJ Duckett. He'll sit on my bench until I have to drop him, or until he does somethign (>100 yards with a TD) that makes him worthy of trading. At that time, I'd expect a WR in the #30-50 range, or a TE in the 8-12 range, or probably a kicker outside the top 5. I wouldnt' expect a whole lot more.
