Is Jamaal Charles in the doghouse for bad behavior or poor play?

Kent Babb, from the Kansas City Star, tweeted that Charles was held out of the game simply so that [RB Dantrell] Savage could get some playing time. Head coach Todd Haley commented that "there's going to be somebody left out every week." Not encouraging news for Charles' fantasy owners.

My take is that Charles is not in the doghouse, but rather that Haley is not impressed with him thus far and considers him to be 2A while Savage is apparently 2B as of now.

Haley claims it is because he had already decided to give Savage a look last week. It sounds like he hasn't proved to the coaching staff that he deserves the position. Savage had a pretty decent day (3/26, 6/43). I'm guessing Charles just fell down the ranks of a crowded backfield, with a coach looking for someone to stand out.

Currently holding charles on a few rosters. I couldn't pick "dantrell" out of a lineup, unless it was like an old southern police lineup...
