Nice.  

Substitute the green beans for corn on the cob and I choose your dinner over Chet’s 9 outta 10 times.

Son is in town from Utah so we"re doing early Thanksgiving. 

Smoked the  turkey with gravy pan underneath.  

Started with fruit cup

Turkey 

Broccoli Bake

Sweet Potato Casserole 

Cranberry sauce

Stuffing 

Almost time for homemade key lime pie.

Khan Toke is OG SF Thai. I remember going there with my sister  in the early 80s. There are a lot more choices now including some with arguably better food but the ornate wooden interior still makes Khan Toke something special.
So many good restaurants.

we took daughter and her bf in for his birthday.  He wanted to go the academy of science and I wanted take them to Tonga room.  Kitchie, but he hasn’t been and it would have been a fun experience.   They aren’t taking reservations… so went old school from my neighborhood.

Our paths may have crossed today. I walked the dog to GG Park and was near the museums around 12:30PM watching a free concert at the bandshell by a Dutch singer named Lara Louise. It was a beautiful day.

It's probably been six or seven years since I've been to the Tonga Room.  My daughter @ditkaburgers and her friends went on a pub crawl last month and hit the Tonga Room, Li Po and Vesuvio.  We've taught her well.

I think I can pronounce about half of the words you typed there......sounds fancy, and I'm sure, delicious.

We made cheese stuffed deer meatballs in Verde sauce, in the crockpot, from the deer I harvested a few weeks ago.....pretty damn tasty....it paired well with Union Jack IPA

No.  We hired a chef and had the dinner at my friend's club. I was an invitee and not involved in any of the planning.  Sorry if I implied otherwise.

 
What kind of flavors do truffle's impart?  I wouldn't even begin to know where to use them while cooking.  Hell I feel fancy like when I'm using saffron.

Truffles deliver an earthy umami flavor that's kind of like a more intense mushroom taste.
