Whats the Brandon Marshall hype all about you ask? (1 Viewer)

I am now starting him over Lee Evans until Lee does anything to show he's arrived this season. Marshall is the Truth

well well well, very nice, very happy I have him on my bench... now if i get the gonads to start him over LEE effin EVANS....

Two things I take from that video:

1) Marshall is good after the catch

2) Cutler has some skills at avoiding the rush

Great highlight reel, this kid's going to have a great career and it'll be fun to watch.

But please warn me the next time you're going to make me listen to Jared Leto's annoying screaming.

Seriously Bloom, I think you're going to need to put a pinned thread up titled "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and the origins of".
"The Chronicles of EEEEEEEEEEE!!: The Brandon Marshall Story."

EEEEEEEEEEEEE!

If you look up YAC in the dictionary, there's probably a picture of Marshall next to it. I don't think he went backwards on more than maybe 1 or 2 plays. He is the epitome of YAC...

Would you call that a Marshall Plan? ... imposing "Marshall" Law on Lee Evans?

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Don't quite understand what this means.
It's the sound that Bloom made because he couldn't contain his excitement when Brandon Marshall was finally drafted. It was much like the "shriek the crowd of schoolgirls made for the Beatles and Stones back in the day".But I'd like to know the ***OFFICIAL*** number of E's that should be used. It's almost like a fish story in that the number of E's used seems to get longer over time. :jawdrop:

Some amazing highlights in that video. Unbelievable skills after the ball is in his hands.
There are? That was the least exciting highlight reel I have ever watched. Around 4:50 he makes a very good RAC but the rest of the vid was him catching a comeback and getting tackled to the ground. I was more impressed with Cutler's ability to escape pressure. Is Denver's line that bad?

I wasn't a big fan of his entering the league, but he looks pretty good there. He's quite a bit quicker and faster than I remember him in college. He definitely doesn't run with the power of a guy like Owens or Boldin, but he's surprisingly fluid for a taller WR. Looks like he has a solid future.

Picked him up at the end of my auction, over a bunch of other "bigger name" guys (Devery Henderson, Greg Jennings, Joe Horn, Issac Bruce). I'm glad I did. The guy will start for me all season.

Ill agree that he's not as powerful as Boldin/TO, but he is still extremely powerful for a WR, and what he gives up to them in power, he regains in moves - neither of them can do what he does in the open field - heck most scatbacks would have trouble making that many people miss.

nice work minus the song.

Actually he eitehr made somebody miss and/or break tackles in just about every highlight, but I agree that isnt the most exciting highlight video, but that's because this is just 3 games of play. I probably should have waited till at least the mid point of the season to make a highlight video of him, but I was anxious to make it now.Keep in mind that this video shows just about every catchable pass thrown in his direction so far this year. He catches everything and always gets the YAC. Also, the kid is quite fast even though he doesnt really have many long catches this year, but then again I don't think anyone on the Broncos does. It simply hasn't been part of the game plan so far.As far as denver's line, yes unfortunately it has been that bad this year and Cutler has done a great job at always getting rid of the ball before getting sacked. Hopefully once Hamilton comes back at Guard the Broncos Oline will improve.

It's likely Denver's WRs won't see many long passes unless the OL improves. With his YAC ability, it makes sense to throw mostly short, high percentage passes anyway, with an occasional deep throw only to try to keep the coverage honest.

Cutler should get some credit for Marshall's YAC as poorly thrown balls rarely result in good YAC opportunities. I didn't see an abundance of throws that Marshall had to dive or lunge for making him an easy tackle.

I completely agree man. I truly think that suckiness of the OLine is the reason that long passes arent being thrown, however I am suprised at how few bootlegs they have done, and that is usually when Cutler goes long.

except for the long bomb that was a throw like a punt

I was kind of disappointed with the YAC watching it...with all the hype I was expecting more. Also doesnt seem like he gets good seperation (except that bomb). Is Denvers OL really that bad? seems cutler was rushed on every play.

Is Marshall going to get more targets than Walker going forward or was this just a fluke?

PS thanks for the clip...good job.

There's some decent catches and moves but nothing spectacular. Man that song you picked sure sucked the big one. Who was that?

I now understand what the all the hype was about. He is very Boldin like.

BTW: He would have had another TD when he got behind the Jags secondary but he had to wait for the ball when Cutler underthrew him.
