Hello Jene - scoring in our league rewards 10pts per sack - 1 pt for tackle - this applies to DL, LB, and Db's we start 1 of each.

Whats the deal with Peppers?

He carried me early on and now he's inept. Ive watched games he's "played" in recently and he pretty much just stands there - no pursuit/effort....its crazy -

So instead I start Jared Allen and he does very little as well.

Those 2 are my only choices - whos the better play this week?

At Db -

Ive started C Hope because he gets a consistant # of tackles but a big sack - int now and then would be better.

My other choice is A Winfield since Minny's O is anemic, the D is on the field a lot and he's done well of late

Who of these 2 is the better start?

Hope you don't mind my editing your title. There are plenty of other enlightened IDP minds around that can help as well.I think I'd play Peppers this week. The Giants OL is struggling. Kareem McKenzie probably isn't going to get much help from Jeremy Shockey on the right side. Ogden has been solid and the Raven OL much better over the past month making Allen a hair riskier.Hope and Winfield are about even this week. The Texans will give up their share of big plays and Jon Kitna has been chucking the ball around to anyone who cares. I think I'd play Winfield in that system. He'll have more opportunities to make a big play than Hope will, although Hope is obviously the safer play.

Peppers is 2nd in my league in scoring for DL's while Allen is 3rd. Toss a penny in the air and make your pick that way.

Agreed.. Flip a coin for Peppers vs. Allen. About Winfield/Hope you don't list any pts for INTs ? Lot of leagues they are 2 pts, but even then I'd stick with Hope. He racks up a lot of tackles..

My bad -

Db's get 10 pts for interceptions - thats why I was thinking Winfield may be a better start vs an erratic Kitna - But Hope always gets his tackles which is better than getting skunked
