What's the difference between Dodd's Cheatsheet/Rankings (1 Viewer)

For instance, on Dodd's Cheatsheet/Rankings, the Jets defense is rated as #4 this week. But on Drinen's Cheatsheet/Rankings, when you set it to use Dodd/Norton projections and standard FBG scoring, the Jets are ranked #9.

If anyone knows what the difference is between the two cheatsheets I'd like to know, just so I know what I'm looking at. Is the whole difference the "/Norton"?

Well, a bunch of people have looked at this post, but nobody seems to have a response. I just don't know how you can have two different rankings, with a fairly large difference, based on the same projections. I'm sure FBG isn't just hedging their bets with alternate rankings, so there must be an reason for the difference.

It appears that the staff is off on the weekends. Your subscription only gets customer service on Monday thru Friday.

My guess is that Dodd's non-custom rankings are not considering points allowed or yardage allowed types of stats and the custom cheatsheets do. Your best bet is to punch in your league scoring values in the custom pages, I think.

Yeah, that's what I would think, except there is no scoring system, no even standard FBG(which I would assume Dodd's rankings are based on), that you plug into the custom cheatsheets that gets you to the same numbers as Dodd's rankings. So that doesn't appear to be the simple answer. Or Dodd's defense ratings are based on some fantasy scoring system that doesn't exist.

Just to test this, I made a custom league where defenses get no points for points allowed or yards allowed, and the Jets rank 4th there. So I think my original assumption is true, although that doesn't explain why Dodds uses a scoring system that isn't the "standard".But bottom line is you should probably just use the custom cheatsheets with your league rules plugged in since at least in that case you know everything is accounted for.
