What's up with Holt? (1 Viewer)

Since the bye week Holt seems to non-existent in the passing game.

Week 9 Bulger throws for 327 - Holt 5/48

Week 10 Bulger throws for 354 - Holt 3/50

I've been playing Holt and Harrison the last two weeks with Colston having monster games on the bench.

Anyone have any insight into what's going on? :confused:

 
See the STL/KC game thread...some discussion about how the Chiefs focussed their D on Holt and the passing game, conceding the underneath passing game (SJax)...

 
I reviewed the game thread, not much info there.

I'm a concerned Holt owner as well, any homers have opinions to chime in?

 
i watched the game, KC did a great job of taking away anything deep and anything over the middle.

they gave up a ton of passes to jackson down the side lines and figured they would let jackson have his and not allow holt and the wr's to bury them.

bulger still looked to Holt fairly often (on key downs more often than not).

 
I'm disappointed, but not concerned. I'm quickly finding myself on the outside looking in at the playoffs because of down games by Holt and Gates, but for the Holt owners, rejoice because Seattle's sive like pass 'defense' is up next. :yes:

Name one other WR you would like to have besides Holt? :unsure: I can't think of one.. Every WR is going to have an off game. Next week Holt should be good for 100+ and a TD. No worries!!

Name one other WR you would like to have besides Holt? :unsure: I can't think of one.. Every WR is going to have an off game. Next week Holt should be good for 100+ and a TD. No worries!!

Steve Smith comes to mind...
 
In Drinen's targets, I have noticed that Holt has been only catching 50% of passes thrown to him this year. I don't see enough of this team to know why, but considring the season Bulger is having, that means his success has been elsewhere.

I don't have any predictions here, just something to think about.
