I certainly don't want to come off as a TO defender but I am not sure what you wanted him to do on that play. He was still running his route, the ball got deflected, he adjusted his body to catch it. When did he have time to go after the potential interception? I completely understanding bashing this guy when he does his stupid antics but lets not bash the guy every time a camera goes on him.Did you notice that if that guy did pick the ball off TO wasn't gonna do a darn thing about it. In fact, he didn't even make the smallest attempt to knock the ball out of the defenders hands. I can't stand that man.
No, he wasn't positioning himself to make the catch. The ball accidientally flopped into his stomach so he ran with it afterwards. The Saint was definitly in a better positon to make that play and TO had plenty of time to make the adjustment to try to at least knock it out of his hands. But lucky for him it hit him in his belly. After that, what was he supposed to do, drop another easy catch?I certainly don't want to come off as a TO defender but I am not sure what you wanted him to do on that play. I disagree with your assesment. Certainly he was lucky that the ball hit him in the stomach. The wr's run very precise routes and alot of times they dont even look for the ball until the last second. That ball was underthrown by about 3 to 4 yards. I personally didnt see him having enough time to make an adjustment to go at the defender. I tried to go back and look at the play but I was too late. We just see it differently.Cannon Fodder said:No, he wasn't positioning himself to make the catch. The ball accidientally flopped into his stomach so he ran with it afterwards. No, I agree with what you are saying. I know how fast the game is and how fast TO was running on that route, but when I watched it I thought TO had plenty of time to try to make a play. He didn't even twitch to do something. I could just picture the Saint actually intercepting the ball and TO just throwing his hands up and simply walking back to the sidelines.I disagree with your assesment. guess you missed his solid block on Terry Glenn's big play then.come on now, I'm no TO fan... far from it, actually... but aren't we starting to really nitpick here?another TO defender, think hes just upset about gettin killed on national tv, no one mentioned the first julius jones run when he (from about 10 yards behind) just flat out ran past the saints players chasing jones.
Exactly. If TO had gone into TD celebration dance mode everyone (rightfully so) would have pointed to the scoreboard and said he was a selfish SOB. The Cowboys were getting killed and he wasn't pleased with that.Don't you want guys to be unhappy when they are getting their ### handed to them? Seriously.simmonjm said:How is TO supposed to look his team is down 42-17 what do you want from him. You people cry when TO celebrates and then cry when he doesnt celebrate
worst thread ever. Get a life people.

They were down 28-17 at that point. I agree though, if the ball is almost picked and you got lucky why celebrate. Romo is allowed to have a few bad games, he had one this week. If he is mad about Romo that is not right, if he is mad about how the team played then that is OK. I will give TO credit is hussle on the Jones run was real effort!simmonjm said:How is TO supposed to look his team is down 42-17 what do you want from him.
