The reason no teams are saying anything yet is because of the Goodell decision. This is not complicated. This is all about balance. On one side, you have the positives Vick brings. On the other side of the balance are the negatives that come with Vick.Clearly there are lots of positives. The guy was a starting QB in the NFL. Some would say he was a very good starting QB. He was able to fill one of the toughest job descriptions in the world: Starting NFL QB.Clearly, there are lots of negatives. Can he be trusted not to get into trouble again? And even if he was on perfect behavior, there will certainly be negatives with regard to protests and such.TODAY, any team that says anything good about Vick (much less actually signed him) will face negative press. And right now with no decision from Goodell, there is ZERO upside to a team taking the brunt of that negative press. They don't get anything positive from Michael Vick saying they'd be interested in signing him. Plus, every team is thinking about the negotiation process if it got to that. When they sit down with agent Joel Segal, they will give the impression that they're terrified of the repercussions signing Vick will bring upon them. Which translates to "we have good reason to offer a low ball salary" It's not complicated. If Vick is cleared by Goodell, THEN and only then will you start to see teams show their true intentions (and even then they'll be very slanted toward the perception of not wanting to sign him).J
