I'm pretty much the exact same way, although I'm sure I've spent more than 20 minutes the past couple of seasons on the RZC, I do know that I haven't watched a second of it the past 3 weeks.painkiller said:I almost never watch the RZC on Sunday Ticket (watched no more than 20 minutes of it in the 2.5 seasons of having it available). If I didn't have ST, I wouldn't pay $6 a month for the RZC and probably would watch a lot less football than I do now -- depending on what game is on local TV.I'd rather watch whatever game I'm most interested in that week. Sometimes, I flip between multiple games, but in those cases, I'm in control. If my team isn't on, then it's usually whatever game has the most fantasy league interest for me (and sometimes it's 2 or 3 games). I'm also more likely to put the DirecTV GameMix Channel on than the RZC.I know a lot of people LOVE the RZC, but I'm not one of them.
That's lame... I'll have to look into this. Guess I'll call tomorrow and see if I can swindle just the Red Zone Channel out of 'em.I believe that if you want Red Zone and you have DirecTV, you have to get the Superfan package (extra $100 for the season) . . .
I believe SuperFan gets you the HD RZC, but you should get the SD version with Sunday Ticket alone. Then again, I can't imagine having ST without watching all the games in HD. DirecTV will typically comp you the SuperFan fee ($100) if you call.I believe that if you want Red Zone and you have DirecTV, you have to get the Superfan package (extra $100 for the season) . . .
Just dumped Time Warner, this was a big reason. Not avail. No mention of Time Warner Cable. This available on that?
You would be if you had so many trees in your yard and couldn't get DTV and this was the next best thing, lol. Oh, and as for cutting them down, the executive decision was made that the trees stay.painkiller said:I almost never watch the RZC on Sunday Ticket (watched no more than 20 minutes of it in the 2.5 seasons of having it available). Even those that can get DTV don't want it anymore with Redzone.A few do, but not many. DTV is dead after this year as everyone i know who has it is dropping it since they only had it for Sunday Ticket, which is now useless to most. You would be if you had so many trees in your yard and couldn't get DTV and this was the next best thing, lol. THe RZC on DirecTV comes as part of the Superfan Package which is normally $99. However, after negotiating with them I got the Sunday Ticket, Superfan, and other goodies and discounts for $150 total this season. There are a bunch of different $ amounts being thrown around for how much this thing costs... How much does it cost for DirecTV customers?
I'm thinking DTV drops their price drastically next season to compete with the NFLN RZC. There is still great value to be had (at the right price) for the Ticket. It's awful nice to be able to select which game you want to see of the afternoon games. The RZC becomes less valuable to me during the late games as there is less action I'm mossing by watching a full game rather than the RZC.Even those that can get DTV don't want it anymore with Redzone.A few do, but not many. I already get those free with my package with Verizon, so paying the 50 for the year works out to be the same thing as getting those channels for 5 per month. If anyones paying more than $5 a month, you are getting riped off!!! I pay 5 dollars through Comcast in South Florida and i also get other channels with it. College sports channels, NHL channel, NBA channel etc. This seriously is the best thing since sliced bread!!! And its now in FUL HD!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@
