I never know what do to with my arms when chatting with a group of people. Most of the time, I have my hands behind my back.

Depends.  Usually just at my side.  I think I've done the whole crossing of the arms thing though.

where a person holds their arms when in conversation indicates a lot about how the feel both about you & the conversation in general.

for example, if $@%$!% comes to my desk and he's gesticulating wildly, laughing until his face turns purple and choking on his own jokes... arms are crossed and tight to the chest. i'm not interested.
