Where do you draft TO next year? (1 Viewer)

Assuming you have a shot to draft him, do you choose him and if so, in what round and pick would you feel good about it.

Depends were he lands, in a PPR league I'd take him in the 3rd or 4th. Again, depending were he lands and were I'm picking.

Id be willing to take him as my #1 WR in the late 3rd/early 4th, maybe even early/mid 3rd if i really liked my RBs.

Depends on the size of the league and where TO lands...In a 12 team league I would be tempted to take him late second early third.Regardless of how much of a tool he is the guy is a TD machine and will behave enough in year 1 with a new squad.

Agreed. I might even go mid second.

He is definately a top 5 WR no matter where he goes. He can just dominate the game from the WR position and I dont see that stopping next year. Where you draft him depends on your league scoring and lineup rules and how valuable WRs are compared to other positions. I would say anywhere from late 1st to late 3rd round depending on your rules.

If he lands in Denver, Dallas, or Kansas City he has to go in the second in a PPR league. I think a lot of people are forgetting how dominant this guy is. Say what you want about TO. He was out two weeks and was still the highest scoring WR in FF until Steve Smith caught him.

Better yet where would you take his teammates. For example, if he ends up on Denver would Plummer or Lelie or Smith move up your board?

I would think that if you had a top 3 pick, and drafted LJ, for example, and you have a chance to get TO and another WR like Smith, Fitz or Boldin - look out. That would be a strong start.

This is the biggest question IMO. Imagine he lands in KC - does LJ move up or down? Gonzo would almost certainly move down, while Trent moves up. Same idea with Denver I suppose.

TO would be my #3 WR for any team, #1 if the QB has an above average arm.

In the second annual 16 team 2006 WSL survivor league, I took LT2 with the 3rd overall, Randy Moss in the second (2.14), and then T.O. at 3.03 (35th overall pick). I'm happy with that.

TO will probably go in the second round of most drafts. He's too volatile to use a #1 on. Whether it's early second or late second will depend on what team he is with and if he behaves in training camp. One good thing for owners who don't want to roll the dice on TO but still want a top tier WR is there will be more options this year as guys like Fitz, Boldin and Steve Smith have joined the ranks of TO, Holt, Moss, Chad and Harrison as legit fantasy #1's. Therefore it makes it a lot easier to pass on TO while still getting a high quality wideout.

If he is available in round 10, I draft him and laugh all the way to the bank.
Any league that allows TO to drop to round 10 is a league I'd love to join  Seriously, TO is a total *censored* but he is the single most talented receiver in the league (skill-wise). Add in the fact that he absolutely can't afford to blow it next year makes him a great fantasy WR regardless of where he lands. He certainly isn't worth a 1st, 2nd or possibly 3rd round pick but after that he's worth a look. I don't see him going past round 4 in most leagues, anything after that is an absolute steal. I despise the man and even so I would gladly take him as a 5th rounder but I doubt he drops that far. 10th round? Give me a break

You draft TO wherever the #1 or 2 WR SHOULD be drafted. Late 1st, early 2nd. His FIRST year with his new team is sure to be a solid one......100 catches 1500 yds, 15 TDs........ jmho.

T.O. was all the talk in Kansas City on Wednesday, one day after Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson told The Star the franchise was “somewhat interested” in Owens, a five-time Pro Bowler. Chiefs fans’ reaction ranged from outrage to intrigue. The talk appears to have started last week at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., when Owens’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, sought out the Chiefs. It was an odd twist for Edwards, who was hired last month in Kansas City. Ten years ago, the Senior Bowl is where Edwards, then a scout, first spotted Owens.

“I remember it like it was yesterday,” Edwards said. “He got his cleats to the ground, and you could tell he was a powerful man. He was like a young colt. Very raw. You could see he was very competitive. Very competitive. And obviously, he became who he became.”

By Wednesday, the T.O. saga had become the circus outside of the circus in Detroit. Owens reportedly met with Denver on Monday. Peterson was expected to talk to his coach sometime before he left for Motown late this week. Whispers of Owens’ arrival there were bandied about Wednesday, around the same time that one of the Chiefs’ marquee players, tight end Tony Gonzalez, told a gaggle of reporters he’d welcome the troublesome receiver.

“I know T.O, and he’s a guy who wants to be competitive, wants to play hard, and if they brought him in, I’d have no problem with that,” Gonzalez said after appearing at a function promoting the Pro Bowl.

“It would bother me if (Owens) came in and started doing the same things he was doing in Philly. The way to keep a guy like Terrell Owens happy is you’ve got to throw him the ball, which I have no problem with. He’s a great player. To me, he’s probably one of the top two receivers in the league.”

thanks TD, guess being late last night I forgot to paste it. I think KC would be a great place for him. I do think it's possible they make the Supe without him. Regardless, if they made it with him his head would really swell. Interesting that he and Tony G are friends, almost like an "inside track" to get him yet Tony's gonna have to keep his buddy calm if they did get him.

I'm not sure that anyone can influence TO into being part of the team concept. As for his chances to land in KC, I'd say that they have a fair shot, but I'd rather have David Givens and not deal with the brain cramp that is TO. The Chiefs still need to do some work on the D, so this chatter is really not helping them get to work on what they need to do.

what else do think they need?I'd guess some weeding out along the DL. IMO some guys just aren't cutting it. I love the Jets DL and wonder how Herm feels about the one he inheritted in KC.

Anyone that can generate a push rush (beside Allen) and some help in the secondary.
