Where does Aaron Brooks end up? (1 Viewer)

Texasmouth

Any chance this guy will be a starter again? Anyone think the guy is talented?

I think Brooks has talent and could start for a lot of teams. I think he would be a nice fit in Baltimore or Miami. Not fishing, just looking to see what other people's opinion of the guy is.

good question! alot of people dislike him,but he still has a lifetime 2:1 ratio td:int..

gotta be worth something to someone, no?

What about Oakland? They are not exactly known for intelligent players. He could put up some big numbers in that offense and they will go their standard 5-11 or something close.

To me Brooks wasn't even about the number of mistakes as much as the magnitude. HE just did too many things that were SO dumb that it made your head spin! That being said, Plummer went from a mistake prone guy to a legit NFL QB, maybe brooks can. He seems to have the physical tools.

I wouldn't bet that he ends up a starter somewhere, but it is possible.

He'd be a great fit in Oakland, Miami, or Baltimore. Miami has been linked to almost every other option except for Brooks.

Brooks might be back in New Orleans. Supposably they will make him an offer. If someone trades up for Leinhart, NO should want a veteran to start in 2006. Leinhart is the only rookie who I think is polished enough to start right away.

I dont know about Oakland because they all ready have Kerry Collins there. They aren't a whole lot different in the big picture. They are both big armed guys who can make great plays one series and throw a rookie type pass the next.

I think Miami is the perfect fit for Brooks. They have great receivers and a great coaching staff that kind find a way to gear the offense around Brooks. He has a solid TE and a great RB there as well. He isn't Mike Vick but he can use his feet to get out of trouble and he just seems like a perfect fit for a couple of years then maybe Cleo Lemon will be ready to take over.......ok maybe that was a stretch but I have heard nothing but good things about Lemon.

Yes, Oakland would have to depart ways with Collins before bringing in a big name veteran QB. That's something that has a roughly 50/50 chance of happening regardless of who else is available. Collins isnt a Raider in 2006 unless he and Oakland can agree to restructure the contract. Until there is word on the CBA, talks are pretty much dead.

As for simuliarity, Collins has terrible mobility and he lacks red zone touch. He's a lot different than Brooks.

Where he was originally drafted....GREEN BAY!!! Favre retires, Brooks takes over while they prep A. Rogers to possibly be the man in a year or two.

I could see him winding up on the Jets, but I'm intrigued by the possibility that he goes to Arizona. THey've got Warner, and they're letting McCown go, which means that they have to be in the market for a vet with starting experience. Brooks has the arm-strength and mobility to be a Denny Green QB in the mold of Rich Gannon, Sean Salisbury, the young Brad Johnson, and Randall Cunningham. I think it's a real nice fit, especially since nobody expects Warner to start 16 games in any given season.

I think Brooks will be a tremendous value next year if he can get a starting gig, which I think he can do. He was awful in 2005, had less than 3000 yards passing, had more INTs than TDs, missed 3 games and still ended up as the #16 QB. If he starts, he will probably be a steal in the draft because of very low expectations, even though this was his first year worse than #8 in the past 5 years.

Let's start the Miami rumor maybe it will pick up steam and happen. This coming from a Chambers and Brooks owner.

I have Brooks in one keeper league myself. I have always been fairly pleased with his fantasy output, even when he has a bad game he still has decent numbers. I would like to see him go somewhere and put together a nice season.
