If Larry Fitzgerald is out for an extended period of time (possibly the season) with his hamstring injury, where does Bryant Johnson rank in terms of fantasy WRs? Top 10, top 15??Yesterday, Leinart locked into Johnson with Fitz out of the game (team high 6 catches for 82 yards in limited time), plus the fact that Arizona throws 40-50 times a game, you'd think that Bryant Johnson would be a top fantasy WR.What are your thoughts/analyais?Here is the background on the Fitz injury - a "pop" in a hamstring is never a good thing, and usually results in a tear, which is typically season ending:
Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will undergo an MRI test Monday after saying that he felt his hamstring pop."I couldn't even straighten my leg out," Fitzgerald added. Coach Dennis Green said that the receiver's injury "looks like it's going to be fairly serious," but that sounds like it could be an understatement. Owners of Fitzgerald should be bracing for the pro bowl receiver to miss some time, but they should also grab slot WR Bryant Johnson as quickly as possible off the waiver wire. Johnson caught 6 passes for 82 yards Sunday and was routinely targeted once Fitzgerald left. He did drop another key pass, but fantasy owners should not hesitate to immediately plug him into starting lineups if Fitzgerald cannot play. Oct. 8 - 10:16 pm et
