Where does Moss now rank on VBD list (1 Viewer)

I am trying to get a feel for where others have Randy Moss ranked on the projections/stack rankings list. New team = new stats projections. Thanks for your help on this one.

Can Brady toss the rock more than 25 yards?( half joking) Has he got the timing down for long throws? Just seems to me most of his passes are to the sidelines and short. OK this is a new year with new players, for those of us who own Brady or any of the WR's on the Pats, hopefully training camp will come with a new long ball playbook. If not, look for more of a steady march down the field with short runs and short passes. Not that I disagree with this gameplan but a steady feed of short run, short pass, and then a field goal rather than a couple of long balls that just seems more exciting.

Yes, Brady is my #1 QB on my Dynasty team, then Kitna.

I think he'll be the motivated Moss with a great qb.

Not sure exactly what numbers he'll put up, but I consider him a lock for wr1 at least.

As a dynasty Moss owner - I pray that he works out. I would like to consider him a solid #2 with #1 upside. I am not sure he will be top 10 but I could see him as top 15.

Anywhere from 900-1200 yards and 9-12 TD. I guess that is still a pretty vague projection but I am not sold that he is going to be a 1300 15TD guy ever again or an elite top 5 guy.

But who knows a couple of years ago I think Muhammed was the #1 WR in football. No reason Randy can't do it if all the stars lineup.

Brady wasn't very good at the deep ball in 2001, but he worked hard on it in the offseason and got much better at it. The Patriots haven't had many speed receivers recently, but I think he's a capable deep passer.

I sure hope he can be a #1 WR. I traded for him as a #3 WR and bye week filler behind S.Smith and Evans. In a ppr league where you can start 3 WR/2 RB or 3RB/2 WR it is going to create a nice problem for me! Portis, Addai, TJones, DWill at RB.

wow, I have never seen 3 top 12 WR's on one team.

Historically speaking you are looking at about 70 receptions.

Moss has only gone over 80 receptions 4 times

The last NE WR to get over 80 receptions was Troy Brown in 2002. And what happened that year? They went 9-7 and missed the playoffs.

Im drinking the Moss kool-aid as well. Since he recently ran a 4.29 40 for teams he obviously still has that speed and from hearing him talk he just sounds "different" to me. I think he comes into NE ready to prove himself. This reminds me a bit of Dillon and how people were skeptical of him but NE has a way of getting the best out of people so I'm willing to trust Bellichek again.Looking at his yearly totals in his career, last year was really the only bad year he's had. I think more had to do with the situation in Oakland (no qb, no O line, always losing) that contributed to his poor year than himself. He's always put up great stats with a pretty good QB and Brady is about as good as it gets, i think he has a great year.

I value him this year as well as a WR#1 but would be more comfortable as a WR#2 on my team. I think this has definate upside potential by moving to the Pats much more so than if he had gone to GB as previously rumored. I see him ranked somewhere between the the numbers of 5 to 13 against all other WR this year.

Here is who I have him definately behind on my list based in no particular order.

S Smith

C Johnson

T Holt

L Fitzgerald

A Boldin

Everyone else I would say has an equal shot or less once out of these top 5 or am I way off base? I view these 5 as the elite WR in 2007.

I would find it interesting to see if you put anyone else in addition to these names and why.

Here's the average draft positions from the pre-draft survivor leagues we ran last month. Interestingly enough, Moss was drafted just ahead of Stallworth, who was then considered the NE WR1.

After these moves, I would say that Moss falls in the tier of WRs that starts somewhere around Roy Williams/Boldin/Driver, and ends somewhere around Lee Evans. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go ahead of Fitzgerald, Boldin, Wayne, Harrison, or Owens in some leagues, but it'd be considered a reach pick. I'd expect his ADP to end up somewhere in the third or early fourth in a 12 team league, maybe a little lower in PPR leagues and a little higher in leagues that emphasize TDs.

59-850-6 to many receiving opitions in NE, and Moss is not 23 anymore, at 30 he has lost a step IMO, I not impressed on what time he ran for teams, lets see if he can still do it with DB in his face, and lets see how the injury's playout for him in cool NE games.
